I've chronic HCV, GERD, BP1 disorder. i take Depakote ER 1,500/day, do I safely can take apap if i've fever, headaches,no longer than 5 days at 2 grams?
Check LFT: You should check with your prescribing doctor regarding the status of your liver. I would periodically check liver function and ammonia anyway but i tend to err on the side of caution. The earliest sign of liver problems is loss of appetite followed by itchiness. I would not take more than 325 mg of APAP every 8 hours. ...Read more

It's ok: If you're having this bad of GERD symptoms, consider a consultation with a gastroenterologist,. Ask about endoscopic and surgical therapies that can actually treat the GERD, rather than just suppressing acid. Hoep this helps! ...Read more
I was diagnosed with silent gerd. I had post nasal drip and hoarsness. A few days later i experienced sinus congestion and 100.2 fever. I currentl?
Sinus infection?: With sinus congestion, post nasal drip, fever, I would wonder if you have a sinus infection. You may need antibiotics, so see your doctor. In the meantime, "Simply Saline" spray, a nettie pot, guaifeniscen, may all help. If you feel severely ill, go to the ER or urgent care center. GERD can be responsible for hoarseness, choking sensation, and a range of other symptoms OTHER than heartburn. ...Read more
I have IBS and gerd, but since monday I have had a low burning and nausea with a couple occassions of a low grade fever. No d or c just nausea crampin?
Viral?: Neither ibs nor gerd is associated with a fever. But if your symptoms get worse or persist for many days, do consult your doctor. I suspect what you may have is likely a viral infection at your age, pregnancy is always a consideration but there should not be a fever associate with it (if you have indeed measured your temperature and it was >100 degree). ...Read more

29. mild chest pains on the left side that extend into my armpit and occasionally upper arm. fatigued. have GERD. no fever. resting ~70 BPM (elevated)?
Non cardiac: You are not telling if this pain is associated with activity . . I am going to assume it happens at rest . You are probably having Esophageal Spasm which for all practical purposes resembles cardiac chest pain . . See your doctor for evaluation , since we do not know what your risk factors are . Eliminate fats caffeine , alcohol & large meals . Start on Omeprazole . Elevate the head of your bed . ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
Can i give my 15 month old peptobismol? She keeps throwing up with no signs of fever or illness. We have checked food allergies, ans GERD (taking zantac (ranitidine) 2x daily). I cannot figure out what's wrong :-(
I wouldn't: Pepto has salycilates which we don't give tom kids under 16 because of an association with liver failure/death (Reye syndrome).Wet burps that do not result in problems with hydration often decrease with age as the reflux improves. If the kid is growing well. I would leave it alone. ...Read more

What might burnt orange/red bowel movements mean in someone with GERD and gastropresis, also lots of cramping, nausea, and low grade fever indicate?
Many reasons: Discolored stool can be a sign of poor digestion, infection, or bleeding. May not have anything to do with your GERD or gastroparesis. I'm more concerned about the cramping, nausea and low grade fever - which might be a sign that you have an infection. I would recommend you make an appointment to see your doctor and be further checked out. ...Read more

My GERD was under control with Prilosec. Three days after the stomach flu hit it's awful again. Is there a connection?
Give it some time.: A "stomach flu" can be accompanied by nausea, vomiting and "heartburn" that can mimic your usual GERD, and it can be so relentless that your Prilosec is simply not helping right now. It's doubtful that this stomach flu in the short term would have worsened your GERD for the long term. Give it a few more days and hopefully you'll start feeling better in this regard. ...Read more

Food Born Illness: Usually foodborne illnesses hit fairly rapidly. Vomiting is not going to really help you very much. Ride this one out.
