Heart Rate Over 200 After Exercise
Tachycardia: Technically that is resting hr. Elevated hr with exercise would be appropriate compensatory tachycardia. Relative tachycardia can be found in patients with resting heart rate that is low and elevation by about 30 BPM above that. 4 yr old has normal rhythm heart rate but speeds ups then slows down by about 20 BPM every 10-30 seconds. Also having single and multiple pvcs
Rhythm: it might be OK to have some rhythm rate variation, but we can't tell for sure without seeing actual ECGp or Holter. If he has several PVCs a day then he needs an evaluation by a pediatric electrophysiologist like myself. Extra Heart Beats: According to your description it seems thatyou are definately having extra heart beats but I am not sure how can you tell that these are PVC's or PAC's with short burst of SVT since Vtach usually does not have HR of 200 BPM. You definately needs further testing which should include a Holter monitor,Poss. A event monitor if HM is negative,A 2 D Echo and eventually a stress test and even a full EPS. ...Read more

Running pace: Yes. Remember that you calculate the desired heart rate for exercise by the formula: 70% x (220 - yourage) as your target heart rate. Your maximal heart rate is just 220 minus yourage. As long as you don't exceed your maximal heart rate, you should be ok. With continued exercise, your pulse will trend lower during exercise. ...Read more
Resting Heart Rate 60 - 70bpm, after doing heavy cardio, it stays between 80 - 90bpm for the rest of the day. Heart disease? No other symptoms though.
Trick Question?: Well... If you just finished exercise at 70% pmhr, your hr is... (drumroll)... 70% pmhr. Now if you're asking about recovery, hr will generally decline to 50% pmhr within 5 minutes for most people, though it depends heavily on whether you had an anaerobic component in there too. ...Read more

Is heart rate recovery a good way to test for clogged arteries? After elevating my heart rate due to exercise HR typically 30-35 BPM less after 1 min.
I have a 57 RHR. I workout 3-4 times per week and struggle to get my heart rate into an aerobic zone. I try to burn 600 calories per workout but per heart rate monitor it takes 1:30 hours. With Bradycardia is heart rate indicative of calorie burn?
Doing good: Please do not obsess about heart rate and calories burnt. If you maintain a healthy weight and exercise 150 minutes/week you are doing great. Over exercising may not be a good idea. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, low fat milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. Practice safe sex. ...Read more
