Is it tachycardia when your resting heart rate is over 100 or any heart rate over 100?

Tachycardia: Technically that is resting hr. Elevated hr with exercise would be appropriate compensatory tachycardia. Relative tachycardia can be found in patients with resting heart rate that is low and elevation by about 30 BPM above that. ?

Rhythm: it might be OK to have some rhythm rate variation, but we can't tell for sure without seeing actual ECGp or Holter. If he has several PVCs a day then he needs an evaluation by a pediatric electrophysiologist like myself. You can consult me or one of us if you need more detailed info. www.healthtap.com/volkantuzcu ...Read more

Episode that started with approx 8 to 10 pvcs in a row. Felt sob, then heart started racing for about 3 to 4 minutes at 200 bpm vtach? Dangerous?

Extra Heart Beats: According to your description it seems thatyou are definately having extra heart beats but I am not sure how can you tell that these are PVC's or PAC's with short burst of SVT since Vtach usually does not have HR of 200 BPM. You definately needs further testing which should include a Holter monitor,Poss. A event monitor if HM is negative,A 2 D Echo and eventually a stress test and even a full EPS. ...Read more

Is it safe to run at slow pace, although heart rate goes into 90% range (190+) after 10 min. Resting heart rate, BP and stress test are all normal. ?

Is it safe to run at slow pace, although heart rate goes into 90% range (190+) after 10 min. Resting heart rate, BP and stress test are all normal. ?

Running pace: Yes. Remember that you calculate the desired heart rate for exercise by the formula: 70% x (220 - yourage) as your target heart rate. Your maximal heart rate is just 220 minus yourage. As long as you don't exceed your maximal heart rate, you should be ok. With continued exercise, your pulse will trend lower during exercise. ...Read more

Resting Heart Rate 60 - 70bpm, after doing heavy cardio, it stays between 80 - 90bpm for the rest of the day. Heart disease? No other symptoms though.

Check-up: This sounds like a reasonable response and in the absence of any other symptoms, continuing your work-out should be good for you! I would suggest a follow-up with your doctor to discuss if a monitored stress test would help guide your exercise activities. ...Read more

Trick Question?: Well... If you just finished exercise at 70% pmhr, your hr is... (drumroll)... 70% pmhr. Now if you're asking about recovery, hr will generally decline to 50% pmhr within 5 minutes for most people, though it depends heavily on whether you had an anaerobic component in there too. ...Read more

Doing good: Please do not obsess about heart rate and calories burnt. If you maintain a healthy weight and exercise 150 minutes/week you are doing great. Over exercising may not be a good idea. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, low fat milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. Practice safe sex. ...Read more
