Resting Heart Rate 60 - 70bpm, after doing heavy cardio, it stays between 80 - 90bpm for the rest of the day. Heart disease? No other symptoms though.
Is it safe to run at slow pace, although heart rate goes into 90% range (190+) after 10 min. Resting heart rate, BP and stress test are all normal. ?
Running pace: Yes. Remember that you calculate the desired heart rate for exercise by the formula: 70% x (220 - yourage) as your target heart rate. Your maximal heart rate is just 220 minus yourage. As long as you don't exceed your maximal heart rate, you should be ok. With continued exercise, your pulse will trend lower during exercise. ...Read more
Boyfriend is in congestive heart failure, heart functioning at 5%, pumping fluid off organs now, too weak to survive heart attack/stroke. Prognosis?
Need rate and rhythm: At about 5 weeks the fetal heart is about the same as the mothers ( less than 100bpm) . By 9-10 weeks the fetal heart rate averages about 175bpm. The fetus may have been under some distress or this may be normal. I would have it checked again at earliest convenience. A uterine U/S can show if the fetal blood supply is adequate. ...Read more
My Holter Monitor showed 1596 Bradycardia events (under 50 bpm) in 48 hours and 2356 pauses between 2.02-2.5 seconds. Lowest Heart rate was 27 .
Talk to cardiology: I am assuming that you have symptomatic bradycardia, and that was the reason you had a Holter study done. Now, I don't know how long your HR stayed at 27, but even 40 is too low. This isn't something that can wait, call your doctor and develop an action plan today. If after hours ask to speak to the on call doc for that office. ...Read more
Not uncommon: Variations of 10-20 beats per minute is not uncommon and even different positions of the mother may cause the fetal heart rate to change. Food, medications, and substances the mother takes in can also affect the growing baby and cause fluctuations in the heart rate, for example caffeine may stimulate the baby heart rate to increase, etc. Best wishes and congratulations. ...Read more
Double pneumonia, coughing up blood, heart pumping at 5 percent and a clot or tumor on left ventricle of heart. How serious is this?
What r the chances at age 47 with a leaky heart value. Heart at functioning at 45 percent. Of a herart attack.
See your doc: A leaky valve and a weak heart muscle would not increase your risk of a heart attack unless they are severe. You should see your cardiologist to assess your risk of having a heart attack ( by taking your history and doing your exam, doing blood work and possibly a stress test...) but most of all find out the reason of your leaky valve and weak heart muscle at such an early age. ...Read more
30 f resting heart 150bpm according to heart monitor excellent health heart rate drop to 80 when asleep is that normal? Full blood normal.
What causes an increase in heart rate when exercising at high intensity? My heart rate went from 180 to 220.
Normal response: But that is too high for you -- your maximum should be no more than 180 and keep it there for about 30 minutes for a proper cardio or aerobic exercise -- and do it regularly 3 times a week -- as you get fitter, your heart rate will lower and it will take longer and higher intensity to get to your maximum heart rate -- don't overstress your heart in a hurry -- it's not a goal but a lifestyle. ...Read more

Is a heart rate of 77 after walking 80 minutes at 2.3mph good? Is a higher heart rate normal after waking up? I want to lower my resting heart rate.
Overweight but with onset of sleep heart rate in low 60s. Often jolt awake right away and heart rate in low 50s, why?
34 male EKG, echo stress. heart rate goes to 130-140 during play, but takes 30-45 min to below 100. Lungs burn when run.Out of shape? Heart issues?
Probably: If your heart tests are normal and it takes longer for your heart rate to return to baseline, it may suggest that you may be out of shape. You need to gradually build your stamina with regular workouts. You should get these wrist bands which tell your HR and BP in realtime. Start with walking 1 mile a day and increase to 2 miles in a ~ 4 wks p, as tolerated. Then start going to gym ~3-4/wk. ...Read more
