Suffering from severe pain on left side of heart near ribcage and breastbone, stomach bloated,short of breath,dysapnea and more painful when sitting?
Likely not ur heart: Given the description of your symptoms this is unlikely to be heart related pain. If it hurts more with sitting try pressing on the area while laying down and see if it is tender. If the bone is tender and it hurts to breathe, you most likely are suffering from costochondritis, which is a benign inflammation of the ribs. Seek medical workup.: Many different things cause shortness of breath and bloating. SOB when lying down: May have reflux. Consider elevating head of bed by placing a pillow between mattress and box spring. Try ranitidine and/or prevecid which are OTC. Shortness of breath may come from possible reflux into lungs and lungs compress when lying down . Check PFTs- study of lung function to see if have asthma. CXR would show an large heart ,fluid.
