Palpitations occurring had panic attack yday head goes numb couple seconds heart rate slows when walking up stairs to worryingly slow bps chest pains?
Confusing: I know you're limited in the number of characters you can type, but your question is very confusing to me. (maybe it's my american english?) :) for your palpitations: there are many causes/kinds. You need a 24 hour holter recording to see what's actually happening. ...Read more
Palpitations is the symptom, not the diagnosis. They are the 'abnormal awareness of the beating heart'. This can include the heart going to fast, too slow, too hard, irregularly, skipping a beat. The causes are varied eg electrical problems (both sinister and not sinister), extra beats (mostly harmless), anxiety, thyroid problem. If persistent or worrying then get checked for ...Read more

Heart flutters: Heart palpitations could be caused by a physical or mental condition. You should get checked out by your local physician. If there is nothing wrong with your heart, you may be having panic attacks, for which there is effective treatment available. But first, don't take any chances with your heart. Cortisol surge: In the morning there is a cortisol surge that is associated with higher heart rate and blood pressure in the mornings... This does not mean that this increase in heart rate and blood pressure is supposed to sustain throughout the day. Talk to your doctor if you are concerned... See a good physician: I assume a small number of stairs. You may have an abnormality of the conduction system that regulates your heartbeat. It may be apparent on an ekg or perhaps an exercise ekg may demonstrate a problem. Of course, other problems could also be the cause, such as a malfunctioning heart valve or a congenital abnormality of the heart. You are young and need to see a good physician. ...Read more
Should i C a cardiologist if I'm waking up with a rapid heart beat ? I'm noticing when i wake up my heart beats faster N when i wake up it slows down
See someone: See a cardiologist or a primary care physician. They can place a 24 hour holter monitor, a device that records your heart beat mechanism for 24 hours. In this manner you can ascertain whether or not you are having an arrhythmia (or in other words abnormal heart rhythm).. Its all guesswork until you do this. ...Read more

Sudden shortness of breath which wakes me up in the sleep with hot chills and pounding heart beat.
Tinnitus: Hearing your heart beat in your ear, called tinnitus, is often benign however there are rare disorders that you should discuss with your doctor to determine if a specialist check-up (ENT) is in order. Some people are more sensitive to the rush of blood through the blood vessels near the ear and this is what causes tinnitus. Some may also just hear the heart beat at quiet times & this is benign. ...Read more

Last night when laying down to sleep I felt SOB but fell asleep, then woke up 30mins later very SOB and fast heart rate. Why? I'm 23 weeks preg.
Can be normal : Shortness of breath can be normal during pregnancy due to a combination of hormones and upward pressure on the diaphragm from the growing uterus. However, things like blood clots that travel to the lungs are also more common in pregnancy. Your symptoms warrant evaluation by a medical professional who can check your vital signs and probably provide reassurance. ...Read more

Chemical mattress?: Dr. Fowler's advice about sleep study is good. Also I see you have a history of allergies. If that's what you're sleeping on, try sleeping on the couch for a week to see if symptoms remit. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
