Heart Only Working 10 To 15 Percent
What are appropriate heart rates for a 6yo resting to sitting to standing. 48lbs. 44in. Resting heart rate typically 100. Goes to 145 with dancing. ?
In a normal child...: Resting heart rates and exercising heart rates can be like those numbers, in a normal child. That being said, having those "numbers in the normal range" does not confirm anything about a child's health status (they're just numbers). If there are worries, a parent can bring them up at the annual check-up, or make an extra appointment sooner to talk about them. ...Read more
I get heart flutters randomly, usually while resting. I have no thyroid and take westroid ( 1.5 grains due to elevated Rev T-3) & take only 10 mcg of ?
Likely hypoT3 effect: Your symptoms could be due to low thyroid hormone. If you have measured reverse T3 (if not get it measured) you may be hypothyroid functionally, regardless of what your Thyroid panel says (esp if it doesn't include reverse T3. H ow accurate is a stress echo if you do 10 or more Mets and reach 90 percent of maximum predicted hr?
Extremely Accurate: The negative predictive value of a stress echo at such a high workload is excellent. Over all populations, the chances of a cardiac event are less than 0.5% per year. In your age group and given the fact that you exercised to 10 METS, I imagine your risk is a lot lower than that. FYI: one MET is the amount of energy the body uses at rest. You were able to push your body to produce 10 times that ...Read more

Resting Heart Rate 60 - 70bpm, after doing heavy cardio, it stays between 80 - 90bpm for the rest of the day. Heart disease? No other symptoms though.
Is it safe to run at slow pace, although heart rate goes into 90% range (190+) after 10 min. Resting heart rate, BP and stress test are all normal. ?
Running pace: Yes. Remember that you calculate the desired heart rate for exercise by the formula: 70% x (220 - yourage) as your target heart rate. Your maximal heart rate is just 220 minus yourage. As long as you don't exceed your maximal heart rate, you should be ok. With continued exercise, your pulse will trend lower during exercise. ...Read more
