Chest pain not from : Chest pain possibly from ASHD or blocked coronary arteries. What showed possible old heart attack if this was an ekg this is not that accurate. Symptoms today are horrible indigestion , numb arm, shortness of breath , feeling weak . I have costochondritis . Is this normal ? Heart attack ?

Doubt it, but...: No one symptom definitively indicates a heart attack is or is not in progress (many people make the fatal mistake of waiting out atypical heart pain). In fact, "heart pain" is often indistinguishable from esophageal, pericardial, mediastinal, gastric, & chest wall distress. By the same token, where in your gut you have problems may result in very different sensations. See doctor to be reassured. ...Read more

Not your heart: There are probably one thousand other possibilities than a heart attack. As stated earlier these are the signs of fatigue and stress. We commonly call them panic attacks. They are real but they are not dangerous. What is going on in your life that is leading to your body telling you to stop and pay some attention? ...Read more

Can anxiety give you a heart attack or heart problem? I can't exercise because i get shaky, weak short of breath during and fear it's my heart.

Anxiety & heart: I agree with dr. Glassman's explanations. If you've had a good evaluation with your primary care doctor, you know your physiology is in relatively good shape. However, deconditioning will leave you breathless, etc when working out -- at least at the beginning. You could see a psychologist for cognitive behavioral therapy, so that you can gradually and successfully increase healthy exercise. ...Read more
