Sometimes I wake up at Night and my heart is beating really fast. Is this a heart arrhythmia? Why is this happening to me?)
Many causes: Anything from an extra cup of coffee, to an odd mitral valve (mine makes my heart go off like an alarm clock if I forget to exercise) to the quivering death throes of a heart in massive heart attack. Whole books are written; thankfully we can do a lot more today for hearts that beat in odd ways. ...Read more

You are much more likely to die as a result of a drunk driver or a "run of the mill" heart attack. So don't worry, but do see your physician regularly so to increase the chances that "undiagnosed problems" will become both diagnosed and treated. ...Read more
