Fruit is high in: Fructose, which is a sugar. That's more the issue than calories. If you only eat fruit you can raise your blood sugar and that is not good. Please see a nutritionist for guidance. Depends: Any fad diet is not healthy because you will simply regain the weight once you go off it. You need to find a diet that you can stick to for the rest of your life if you want to keep the weight off. A vegan diet of fruits and vegetables can be healthy as long as you get in enough protein. Fruit, carbs, weight: Fruit contains the sugar fructose. It promotes Insulin secretion. Insulin is a fat storage hormone. Fruit is counterproductive to wt. Loss. Most important issue for wt.
