What's the difference of overeating sugary/fatty foods and overeating healthy foods with same amoutn of calories?
Metabolism: Not all calories are created equal. The body metabolizes high sugar foods, including alcohol, very quickly into fat if these calories are not needed to sustain physical exercise. Is a 1500 calorie diet healthy and sustainable if vegetables, fruit, lean protein and in processed carbohydrates are consumed?
Weight and Activity: Yes that diet can certainly be sustained if it provides for the caloric expenditure of the individual on a daily basis. The mix of foods you choose is also very good. One must consume less calories than they burn.I eat very small amounts of food which mainly consists of vegetables. I move A LOT. No weight loss.Why?
First point is true: "One must consume less calories than they burn" or else one will not lose any weight. Even if one is eating apparently small amounts of food, and moving a lot, the laws of nature do not change... meaning there will not be weight loss until the number of calories absorbed into one's body is less than the number of calories burned each day.
