Healthy Diet Plan For Teenage Girls
A balanced diet: You should adjust your diet to maintain a healthy weight and make sure it is well balanced in carbohydrates, proteins (from fish, nuts, no-fat yogurt) and have limited amount of fats in it. I would advise more of plant based foods with ample veggies, grains and fruits (very important part of diet, in my view). Avoid meat heavy diets they are outright unhealthy due to excess saturated fats in them. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

I do boot camp 4 days a week and on a healthy diet plan it's been 4 weeks and I'm still the same weight what am I doing wrong I'm about to give up?
Need more info: Hard to say. It all depends on what you consider to be a 'healthy diet.' Perhaps you are eating healthy food, but you are eating enough calories to replace the calories you are burning with the exercise. You may also be burning fat, but replacing it with lean muscle weight. I wouldn't let the lack of progress on the scale get you down too much. I am on a college budget, what is a cheap, easy, filling, and healthy diet plan I can follow (ie. Not ramen noodles).?
Cheap and easy: I am a fan of weight watchers but it does cost something per month. Basically you should eat all types of foods, watch your portions (very important), eat more vegetables and fruits, stay away from fast food or packaged food, and most importantly, exercise. Even going for a long walk is exercise. Don't forget a multivitamin each day. Good luck. ...Read more

In what way can a pure vegetarian teen maintain a healthy diet. Meaning, what should he eat and not eat etc.?
Your choice?: If this is a lifestyle being forced on you by your parents, you are well within your rights to refuse. The health benefits have resisted scientific demonstration, but the moral statement is powerful. Focus on fruits, grains and vegetables, avoid empty calories / junk, get plenty of protein (soy's good), and you must supplement (iron, b12, vitamin d, iodine, others). ...Read more

I know that girls that battle anorexia or extreme dieting lose their periods. Do they get it back?
Most do, not all: In order to get your periods back you must regain adequate weight. Exercise may interfere with return of menstruation, too, and (annoyingly) may need to be drastically limited during the recovery period, even after weight is adequate. Dieting is very bad for the hormones in nearly every setting. When periods do not return it is usually because of low weight&/or too much exercise. ...Read more
