Might be normal issu: Random palpitations can be a normal issue if they happen from time to time or if you are taking in stimulants like coffee, alcohol, tobacco or over-the-counter medications such as pseudoephedrine, which is found in cold preparations and some herbal medications, including ma huang. Doesn't Add up: 23lbs gained is 83,000 excess calories. 1200-1400 cal per day with exercise should make you lose weight. Full sugar soda, energy drinks or alcohol can add empty calories you may not be counting. The excess has to be coming from somewhere. Thanks for trusting HealthTap! ...Read more

Yes & No: It all depends upon what you do during your free food day. If you don't limit your food volume, then you have a greater risk of returning to your previous ways. If by free food day, you just have a taste of something you don't normally have, and depending upon how you've learned to deal w/your bulimia, then it might be ok.
