No supplement needed: People who sell height-growth supplements just want your money. Most people reach their maximum height in their late teens. Without nutritional problems, hormone deficiencies, or chronic childhood illnesses, height is largely based on genetics and parental heights. Aside from eating right, exercising, sleeping well, and being happy, there's not much a person or a doctor can do to increase height. ...Read more

Not DEA: You can to write to the State Medical Board for your state (I am assuming you are in the US). The DEA does not have any information for you. Many states keep a record of every time a patient fills a prescription for pain killers. Doctors can access this information on the internet. An attorney might be able to help, I'm not sure what your goal is. Try a pain specialist, often an anesthesiologist. ...Read more

Someone in my family is doing prescription fraud. What should I do?

Intervention: You can't accept responsibility for another person's behavior, but if this is affecting you, it's your business. Get help from a professional. All the rest of the immediate family members will need to go along with this. Confront the person, and nobody backs down. If the fraudster is also an important source of the family's income, things are even more difficult. Talk with wise people & good luck. ...Read more

Dear doctors, what is your opinion on humaworm (http://humaworm. Com/)? Fraud or useful alternative medicine? Thanks, ggg

Scam: The premise behind this supplement, that we need regular deworming, is not accurate. Also, there is no meaningful information about what formulation of herbs are in the supplement. The fact that it has been banned from several countries is a huge red flag. Save your money! ...Read more

There is a product in the market its a spray which u do on ur penis and it makes ur penis hard for 30 to 40 mins is it safe or its a fraud?

Why is there a need that docs and/or providers to rip people off or engage in frauds since they already earn lots of money? Confused &disapppointed

Why is there a need that docs and/or providers to rip people off or engage in frauds since they already earn lots of money? Confused &disapppointed

Report any abuse: If you have valid issues, report them to the state medical board, insurance company and or employer. If you want to buy into the idea docs are all frauds, do so with my blessing. Sit back & continue your education watching tv shows & letting crooked docs soak the public while you could actually help clean out the bad few. ...Read more

Why is there a need that docs and/or providers to rip people off or engage in frauds since they already earn lots of money? Confused &disapppointed

Different strokes: Most doctors do the best they can and work within the system. In any field there are a few outliers who try to game the system and make extra amounts of money. Patients try to game the system also. It is not a "need" but a matter of personality and satisfaction on a personal level. It is however, unjustifiable when done by doctors and those who do it know the consequences. ...Read more

Why is there a need that docs and/or providers to rip people off or engage in frauds since they already earn lots of money? Confused &disapppointed

Same as Starbucks: The american system is based on profit and bottom line. Doctors and hospitals have high overhead and high costs for insurance, dues, keeping up to date, meeting regulations. Medicine is no longer lucrative or rewarding. There are more patients who are cynical and sarcastic and disrespectful. Feel good rewards are replaced with money rewards! ...Read more

Why is there a need that docs and/or providers to rip people off or engage in frauds since they already earn lots of money? Confused &disapppointed

Bad apples: There are bad people in every line of work. I'd like to think that doctors are not immune, but the news stories of doctors who are convicted of fraud would argue that we are not. Most docs are honest, hard working people, just as most people in other lines of work are. If you think you are being ripped off, you should report it to your state medical board. ...Read more
