Health Benefits Of Camphor Eucalyptus Oil And Menthol
Are there any possible negative side effects to using eucalyptus oil in an infrared sauna long term? K
None known: Eucalyptus oil has many proven healing benefits. Inhaling the vapors in a sauna is beneficial for lungs and sinuses. You can have too much of anything so excess amounts might cause irritation of your eyes, lungs or sinuses or dizziness, but this would be an acute reaction and there is no known problem using small amounts long-term. Lipoid pneumonia: Inhaling any kind of oil is not a good idea. Oil can accumulate in the lung alveoli and cause a chronic type of pneumonia called lipoid pneumonia.
I inhaled a large amount of eucalyptus oil after applying it full strength to the skin for relaxing purposes in the feet. Is it dangerous?
Symptoms?: It is usually does not cause any harm. However it can cause "pneumonia" like symptoms, cough, breathing difficulties etc, if inhaled in large amount... It is called "lipoid pneumonia"... I would strongly recommend to have "pulmonary consultation". To start with chest x-ray or CT scan to determine extent of damage...
I have a mosquito repellent patch with lemon eucalyptus oil and I want to use it on my baby. My baby has g6pd. Is it going to be safe for him?
Yes: The natural mosquito repellant patch is safe to use. :)
If I accidentally got eucalyptus oil spray on my scrotum, is that potentially dangerous, or harmless?
No: It may burn a bit but will not cause harm.
Not aware of this: I've not heard that this is effective
Can my G6PD kids use Laundry Liquid or Body Wash contains low concentration of Eucalyptus Oil or Peppermint Oil?
Hi there. My 5 year old son has G6pd defficiency. He has a cold right now. Is it safe to use Eucalyptus oil at home?
Safe: But do not expect any benefit. Unless you just enjoy the smell of it. How was it that he was tested? Did he react to something? Avoid fava beens. There are many meds to avoid, including certain antibiotics, meds for malaria and gout, dapsone, aspirin acetominophen. Sometimes I need to use one of these meds for such a person but must keep to a small enough dose so that the hemolysis is not too bad.See 1 more doctor answer

Olive oil: Olive oil has a number of purported benefits to include action as an anti-inflammatory, cholesterol lowerer, anttioxidant, and calcium absorber among many others. Not all have been demonstrated in rigorous studies, and appropriate dosing for benefits has not been established.
Olive oil: Olive oil contains mono-unsaturated fatty acids (mufas), which are healthy fats compared to saturated and trans fats. Mufas may lower total cholesterol and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol levels; may also help normalize blood clotting. And some research shows that mufas may benefit Insulin levels and blood sugar control, which helps if you have type 2 diabetes! moderate use only, though.
