Healed Scab Turns To Blister On Knee
I fell a few months ago and got a cut near my knee, turned to a scab, then a blister. I reinjured it a month ago and there's still a reddish hard blister-like lump that doesn't seem to contain liquid, but it hasn't gone away? Should I be patient?

Check it out!: Either your doctor, a walk-in clinic or a good pharmacist can help determine infection that needs treatment. It would be foolish to risk a blood infection (from a simple scrape.) also, poorly healing small injuries could indicate something beginning to go awry in your body - blood sugar levels, other biochemicals, etc may cause some lab tests & early detection & easier treatment. Blister after Scrape: It is very important after getting abrasions to get the skin back to normal healthy tissue. Please see your primary or an orthopod to eval the blister, and make sure you are not getting an infection. This is a tough question to answer without more information. How small is "small"? Where is the blister located? Are you wearing a prosthesis? How long has it been since you first saw the blister? How were you able to determine that you have good circulation?
Without this information, I would suggest that if the blister is not infected and is not causing pain and doesn't limit your ability to wear a prosthesis, local wound care would be reasonable with the expectation that it may never heal, or heal very slowly.

Contact dermatitis?: Do you have poison ivy in your area? Did you come in contact with plastic, metal, or chemicals in that area of your leg? It sounds like your skin may be reacting to something it came in contact with. If it is painful, or has a cloudy pus-like discharge, or you have fever, get seen to rule out infections. Get it checked.: It can be a wound hematoma (blood collection). Hematoma or wound dehiscence (incision separation)can become a nidus for infection and need to be drained and washed out at times.
