No. See your doctor: If symptoms persist. Mri generally has no side effects, assuming an appropriate safety screening. Some implanted devices and tattoos are not MRI safe. Some persons are sensitive to the IV contrast (funny taste in mouth or allergy) and persons with poor kidney function sometimes cannot get IV contrast. During the scan, especially at high magnet strength, some persons describe "funny feelings". ...Read more

Sick: So sorry to hear how ill she is. This is very concerning to me. Is she menstrating or wearing a tampon? Has she had the meningococcus and other recommended vaccines? I would call her physician now with the symptoms for advice, and if you do not have a PMD, especially if she is not vaccinated or is menstrating, I'd bring her to the nearest emergency room immediately.
