I get "cough headaches." When I cough hard I get a pain in my head but it goes away after a short while. Is this dangerous?

It could be: Atypical lymphocytes can be seen in the peripheral blood smears on patients with viral infection. The symptoms you described could certainly be consistent with viral infection. Neurological exam: 24 year old woman with no past medical history presents with headache with cough, imbalance, and constant bilateral tinnitus. With these symptoms, I believe you need to be seen emergently and evaluated by a physician. Most likely virus: These symptoms sound viral in nature. You can get cough, congestion and conjunctivitis from a virus. For the eyes best treatment is artificial tears for the irritation.
