Yesterday I threw up so violently where I felt severe pressure in the middle of my forehead and a "pop". No bruising. Still have bad headache today?

Hydration: why did you throw up. If it was something you ate, you should start feeling better after vomiting unless it was really a bad food poisoning associated with diarrhea and dehydration then you need IV hydration at the hospital . If violent vomiting happen for no apparent reason then you could have an increase in your intracranial pressure and you need to be seen by a doctor right away. ...Read more

Not necessarily: You don't have to. However, if you develop any bleeding, headache, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, or blurry vision to name a few symptoms then certainly you should. Blood thinners can cause potentially life threatening bleeds with or without trauma. When in doubt always call or visit a doctor. ...Read more

15% solution: About 155 of migraine sufferers have headaches either caused by or aggravated by food sensitivities. Citrus is a common offender. Hit my head on granite countertop 4 days ago. Fair lump, minimal bruising, still feeling pain/headache. Is it normal for it to hurt for this long?

Maybe.: Any bruise or bang can hurt for a week or 2. With head injuries, the key is knowing if the pain responds to simple over the counter pain relievers, in the dosages on the bottle. And if you've other symptoms of concussion that may warrant further exam. So if the pain is not helped with regular otc pain relievers, you have vomiting, dizziness, fever, confusion, weakness, vision change, see MD now ...Read more

Ice it!: Accidents happen. The best, easiest & cheapest thing you can do is ice the area as soon as possible. Earlier is better, more often is better than less often. Acetaminophen, if you're otherwise healthy, can be used for pain relief (I tend to avoid ibuprofen). As you didn't lose consciousness or develop neurological symptoms (weakness, numbness) I surmise you will recover. Stay healthy &Good luck. ...Read more

Call your doctor!: again if you have to let them know it's not working, and see if an x-ray is needed or not. Depending on how you bumped it, and what vector forces went into it will affect your recovery. Get a 2nd opinion from a neuromuscular medicine specialist (DO-osteopathic doctor) who can assess, and treat you, and decompressing your neck and spine after your x-ray's done.Good Luck! ...Read more

I have been having a bruising headache on the back of my head and neck and shoulder hurt. I am a hypochondriac. Do I have a brain tumor? Im scared

Tumor very unlikely: Headaches and neck/shoulder pain are very common. Rarely are they the sign of a brain tumor, especially at your age. If the headaches are much different than anything you've ever had before, and aren't improving after 2-3 weeks, then a medical exam is reasonable. Please try not to worry. Very unlikely to be serious, and worry will only worsen neck/shoulder tension and headache. ...Read more
