Started 1mg bedtime of klonopin (clonazepam) and decided with doc to wean off every 2 weeks. 25 mg. Down to. 25 and have headache and face tingling. Will go away?
Benzo taper down: Coming off a benzodiazepine like Klonopin (clonazepam) can cause withdrawal symptoms even when t is done slowly. It may take a couple of days to get over those but I advise that you let your provider know about this so he/she may let you know what is the next step. If symptoms get worse I would recommend you to go to the ed for immediate evaluation.

Headache/Facial pain: Were you taking Claritin (loratadine) specifically for the headache symptoms you are describing? Claritin (loratadine) is not indicated for headaches. If you have a history of environmental allergies that you are taking Claritin (loratadine) for, do continue to take it. Try an NSAID like advil, ibuprofen, Excedrin for headache. Neck pain: Occipital neuralgia. The greater occipital nerve runs between the muscles of the neck and provides sensation to the scalp behind the ear and up to the back of the head. When the muscles are are in spasm, headaches and tingling occurs. The pain is relieved with massage, physical therapy, and injections of the occipital nerve. Sometimes a pinched nerve in the neck (C3/4) can cause similar pain.

Occipital nerves: Occipital nerves run in the back of the head and I often see headache patients with tenderness in this area. Not unusual to see or hear for a neurologist and I'd say almost every headache patient I see has some degree of tenderness in this area. If its a problems, thing can be done to help out. See a neurologist that like to treat headaches.

Spinal or Epidural?: Did you have either a spinal or epidural anesthesia with your c sections? What you are describing could be a complication of that type of anesthesia. Evaluation by neurosurgeon including MRI scan with contrast at the spinal level where they did your spinal/epidural would be indicated as a starting point. An EMG/NCS would also be helpful along with thyroid function, calcium levels to start.
