Need more info: Depending on the length and severity of the symptoms there may be a more serious cause. Evaluation: Dear vonn, headaches have multiple causes. Is there any history of trauma to your head or neck? Do you have sinus issues? What is the location of the headache? Head pain can be due to problems in the neck, upper back or related to food sensitivity issues or hormones at times. Need more info: I have a lot of questions I'd like to ask you. There's several possible diagnoses, and regardless of which one, Depakote is a medicine I'd hesitate to prescribe to a 29 year old woman. It has long term side effects including weight gain, hair loss, and tremor and can cause birth defects.
