Need more info: Depending on the length and severity of the symptoms there may be a more serious cause. Whenever the cause is potentially serious it is best to be seen in person to rule out more significant issue. Once these have been ruled out a more extensive workup can be undertaken for less serious causes. See a medical provider today to make sure a serious condition is not ignored.

What would cause constant headache, ringing in ears, and a normal ctscan? I have pain and muscle weakness too.

Evaluation: Dear vonn, headaches have multiple causes. Is there any history of trauma to your head or neck? Do you have sinus issues? What is the location of the headache? Head pain can be due to problems in the neck, upper back or related to food sensitivity issues or hormones at times. Your doctor needs to review all of these issues with you and then make suggestions regarding further evaluation/treatment.

I have episodes of a dilated pupil with headache, ringing in ears, feel strange and neck pain. Normal scans. I was prescribed depakote. Any ideas?

Need more info: I have a lot of questions I'd like to ask you. There's several possible diagnoses, and regardless of which one, Depakote is a medicine I'd hesitate to prescribe to a 29 year old woman. It has long term side effects including weight gain, hair loss, and tremor and can cause birth defects. I'm available for a virtual consult if you'd like to discuss diagnosis and treatment plan.

Migraine?: You may still be suffering from migraines and your triggers could very well be coughing and/or sneezing. Migraines are often accompanied by what seem like odd symptoms like dizziness, nausea, clumsiness, etc. Have you talked to your family doctor about the possibilities of all the different kinds of headaches? Could you ask him/her about the possibility of these being migraines and starting treatment?

I: I can't think of a single common entity that would cause all three of these at the same time. They may be unrelated. A full ophthalmic exam by your ophthalmologist is warrented.

Headaches. Earaches. Ringing in ears. Mostly on right side of head and right ear. Any other symptoms to look out for? Should I see my gp?

Yes.: Ringing in the ear (tinnitus) is common and there are many causes. Unilateral tinnitus always needs to be evaluated more carefully. Most gp's can help to find out what the cause is. Sometimes you may need to see an otolaryngologist (ENT) and sometimes people need to have an mri. Start with a good history and exam with your physician and take it from there. Good luck!

I have dull headaches which are now more sharp. I hear high pitched ringing in ears and also buzzing. I feel a sharp neck pain at base of skull. Could it be a TMJ flare up? What should I do?

Likely TMJ: Headaches and ear pain are many of the presenting chief complaints of patients with tmj. You can sort out the ringing by protruding your jaw forward when the ringing occurs. It protrusion of you jaw changes or eliminates the ringing sound then there is a jaw connection. Either way you should see a dentist specially trained in tmj.
