Sure it's migraine?: Any new onset migraine should be evaluated by a clinician. Normally a migraine with aura shouldn't linger for days. You should also have your blood pressure checked when you are up and about with headache and when you lie down. And possibly also have your ocular pressures checked to be sure the "ocular migraine" isn't glaucoma. It may be just migraine, but need to rule out other possibilities. ...Read more

Go to your doctor: This could a sinusitis, inflammation and infection of the sinus cavity (maxillary sinus) that makes up the floor of the bony orbit that holds your eye. You need to go to your doctor or the er especially if tis getting worse and/or you have a fever. It could just be refered pain as well. Agree, and...: Sorry to hear :(. I agree with Dr. Rutledge, but also want to mention two things. First, unilateral (one side of head) headaches should be evaluated for other causes than tension headache. Hemicrania continua: If you've been examined and had imaging and everything is normal, one possibility is hemicrania continua, an interesting headache disorder with headache and red eye on one side of the head.
