Do you clench teeth?: Some headaches are light induced others can be chemicals in foods....Many are muscle tension and respond well to Botox or splint therapy. During the day place your tongue on the roof of mouth and press if you find you are clenching your teeth. At night try a night guard. Tension can be held in neck and back of head and affect muscles of chewing. Botox helps relax those muscles for a few months. ...Read more

Right temple ache for almost a week now & under my right eye as well. Watery eye. Doctor said it was tension headache. I'm worried a bout brain tumor?

Very unlikely: Only about 1000 brain tumors are diagnosed in the US per year in people between the ages of 15 and 20. So, it would be very unlikely this headache is related to a tumor. It will likely go away with time. It can be from dehydration or caffeine withdrawal. Return to your doctor if it is persistent and/or worsening. Also, note if there are other symptoms such as seizures, shaking, speech problems, etc ...Read more

One side head pain: These could be migraine headaches. Migraines have pain on one side of the head, nausea or vomiting and sensitivity to light. Migraine headaches are usually severe. This is also a common area to get tension headaches or muscle headaches. I usually start my patients on over the counter medications for these headaches. Check with your doctor if you can take medications such as ibuprofen or Tylenol. ...Read more
