Headache when standing up from bending position, very brief in one spot left side of head, terrfied of aneurism or tumour?

Take a deep breath: I can tell you not to worry about it, but I know that will not work. These symptoms do not seem consistent with either of the diagnoses you fear. Regardless, make an appointment to see your physician. It may be something simple like dehydration (it has been getting hotter in Chatham, no?). Your doctor is the best person to discuss your concerns. ...Read more

Cough headache: Your symptoms may represent a cough headache, which is triggered by straining (sneezing, blowing your nose, laughing, crying, singing, bending over, or having a bowel movement). If the symptoms progress or if you have new symptoms, see your primary care provider, who may refer you to a neurologist. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/8649540, http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/headache.html ...Read more

I don't have a head ache per se but I feel like someone is stabbing me in the head, it's not just in one spot! It's spur attic, I have mood swings?

Stress headaches: There are muscles circling your skull. During stress, these muscles tighten up, and may spasm. Sounds like stress and anxiety. I am not sure what this has to do with mood swings, because they are inside, not outside, your head! :-). ...Read more

I have the worst headaches and nothing relives them I need help bad they will last for days and the head come in the same spot on the right side?

Take care of it: Based on a thorough exam and history a physician can most likely tell you what the diagnosis is and what might help. If the doctor isn't sure even consider getting a referral. Go online and google bad headache and see if you can get a list of the differential diagnoses and how to distinguish them. Perhaps you could make the diagnosis yourself? But always best to corroborate with your doc. ...Read more

I hit the left side of my head and didn't develop a headache until later in the day. The spot I hit hurts significantly more. Should I be worried?

SoundsOK-GiveItTime: Sounds like you're still standing, awake & conversant. Good! I'd only worry if the headache worsened &/or you started vomiting/getting dizzy &/or your vision was changing or the headache persisted for longer than a week or interfered with sleep or in general just bothered you over time. A headache after a head bump is common. Those other symptoms could be worrisome. Give it time, I'm sure you'll be OK ...Read more

I have been getting a headache for the past few days in the exact same spot in my head. Any idea what this could be?

Focal headache: For a few days especially in the allergy season is pretty common and in most cases quite treatable. Making a diagnosis based on information provided maybe presumptuous. You may treat the symptoms and if the headache persists or worsens you will be wise to consult with your physician.

Hit front of head yesterday on corner of bathroom sink. It hurts in that spot and I have a really bad headache mostly in back of my head. Suggestions?

My first question: Would be "how on earth did you hit four head on the corner of the bathroom sink?" Did you pass out? Bend over to inspect the contents of the commode? Have a seizure? Apparently there was enough force involved as to cause a whiplash injury (or someone clubbed you from behind). If you don't get better in a few hours or if you don't know how you hit your head see a doctor! Makes sense? ...Read more
