7 to 10 days: Viral meningitis headaches get better a week to 10 days after they start.
You: Come in contact with virus, virus wants to take over and reproduce, your bodies immune system recognizes a threat, it calls all units available to attack the virus. Local released products cause edema, swelling and allow traffic of your immune cells. Things get all swollen, mucus builds up and hence pain.
Headache: It is not rare that upper respiratory infections leave us with clogged sinuses or even Eustachian tubes that causes either physical pressure feeling since cavities (sinuses) normally empty are occupied or there becomes a pressure gradient between middle ear and nasopharynx. Anyone with a severe headache and neck stiffness or with a true fever should be seen by provider
I have a GI tract virus? How long does it last? I felt like dying while I'm fine one day the next day I'm not and I have headache
It depends: On how long the symptoms have been going on for already and other symptoms you are having such as diarrhea, vomiting, or fever. Viral infections can wax and wane and can last 7-10 days in some instances but it is not typical for you to have dramatic changes in symptoms from one day to the next. You should talk to your doctor.
Are there viruses that only cause symptoms/ make you sick for 1 day? Had low grade temp, aches, headache and fatigue for 1 day then gone??
Yes: This is true but it should not last more than one week if it does please seek medical attention.
Yes: Viruses can certainly cause those symptoms...Not everyone gets every symptom a virus 'can' produce.
Unlikely: The best way in which to resolve this issue is to see your pcp, get examined after a full history and testing as needed, and then they can offer a reasonable explanation for your symptoms. Good luck.
6 yr f complains of headaches every other day. Started after having virus. No others symptoms. Help. Doesn't stop playing forehead are always?
See pediatrician: Chronic headaches of this nature in a 6 year old are unusual and need a full detailed evaluation. Cannot possibly make diagnoses on the internet. Take her to a qualified pediatrician and have her examined and tested if necessary.

Hi I have had a resting hr of 155+ I have recently suffered from a virus and have had dizziness lightheadness headaches possible for me to have POTS?
Possibly: POTS is only one possiblity for a fast resting heart rate. My suspicion would be more towards dehydration from your recent illness as the main culprit without my knowing any other information. The best step would be to see your PCP sooner rather than later to investigate all possibilities.

Had what I thought was a virus for almost 2wks. Violent vomiting, headache, low fever. Can't keep food or fluids down, barely able to pee or have bm.?
5 days ago I was sick with a stomach virus. Now all I do is stay nauseous and have headaches. I can barely eat without feeling sick.
Nausea: You likely have residual inflammation in your stomach from the infection along with dehydration and maybe electrolyte imbalance. You should stay hydrated and eat things that are gentle on your stomach: coconut water, non-tomato soup broth, non-citrus fruits, etc. Also eat smaller meals and eat slowly.See 1 more doctor answer
