Friend drank an icee a few days ago and had kidney pain that felt like a brain freeze. She's still in pain and now has headaches. Is she ok?

What is brain freeze: Brain Freeze is not a medical term or any that I am familiar with. Kidney pain is in the lower back. Sometimes when you drink a very cold drink it will cause headache pain but it is short lived. If your friend has persistent headaches it is not from the drink. She should go see a doctor for a full evaluation. ...Read more

I : I am not sure what is causing this. But if you have back pain, pain radiating down your legs, progressive leg weakness and problems with your bowels and bladder this could be consistent with a cauda equina syndrome (a nerve in the lower spine gets compressed). If this is acute, please get seen at the er right away. If this has been there for a long time, please pick up the phone and call your doctor now. Please do not put off getting medical care. God bless. ...Read more

My temperature is 97.9. Its normally not that low. Any concern? I have headache. I was told i may have kidney stones, although not 100 percent sure.

Not helpful: Nobody here can help. Body temperatures vary greatly from person to person, and even knowing this is low for you won't help anyone detect or determine the type of illness. If the headache is severe and not your usual headache, get seen; otherwise, simple home measures are best. We have no way of knowing whether you have kidney stones. Your best solution is a better relationship with your dr. ...Read more
