Headache After Fever
Is it normal to have a headache after having fever (38.3c) following stomach flu? Fever has gone down but now has a dull sore headache. Not pregnant
Yes: Yes it could a sign of dehydration so drink plenty of water and juices or it could a reaction to a low grade fever, take Tylenol (acetaminophen). Or could be a pressure from sinus congestion take two Benadryl and a Tylenol (acetaminophen) at bed time and follow it with non drowsy allergy sinus medication like Zyrtec, Allegra, or Claritin. Not better make sure to check the BP and make sure it is not elevated and see a doctor

Not sure: Some vaccines are live organisms which have been attenuated, and may create low grade inflammatory responses with ha and fever. This may also occur due to allergic reactions. The headache may occasionally occur because of anxiety over worry about the reactions to the vaccine. In any event, unless side-effects very severe, the vaccine is of more benefit than risk.
My sister is suffering from severe headache and fever. After performing CT scan on brain they told us there is some swelling on right side. Why actually it happens. Is any thing serious, anything to worry?
Meningitis: To common cold. Would seek medical advice today and have this addressed.
Go see your doctor: Go to a hospital er if you have to get seen but you need to get seen in order to determine cause of fever & headache. Perhaps it's a benign sinus infection. But it could also be a deadly bacterial meningitis. I can't tell you, much less treat you online. That's why you need to get evaluated in person.
Infection: This history is concerning for infection. Fever can often cause headaches. In those over 65 even a low grade fever can represent significant infection. See your doctor.
Fever: By definition a fever is a temperature of 100.4 F or greater. You can still be ill without a fever, and a fever is not a bad thing as it is the body's reaction to disease. A reving up of the immune system to fight. It is just that we feel worse with the fever.
Fever & headache: As long as the fever is not high (persistently > 102), and if it has only been 2 days, I would just take Ibuprofen (otc), 3 tabs 3 times a day as this is probably a viral process that will go away by itself. I would wait up to a week for low-grade fever and mild to moderate headache to go away on its own. If the fever is high, or if the headache is unusually severe, you should see a doctor.See 1 more doctor answer
