Headache After Epley Maneuver
Diagnosed bppv lasting 3 wks Epley exercises makes symptoms much worse: dizziness headache light sensitivity normal? How long until Epley helps
Should work quickly: There is an Epley MANEUVER which is done generally by a neurologist or a neuro-otologist in the office but they can be done at home after initial treatment. Are you sure you're doing them correctly? If the diagnosis is accurate they should work well. There are another set of exercises which I believe are more easily done than Epley but require a partner. They are called Brandt-Daroff EXERCISES. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Getting frequent vision loss, lightheadedness, pressure in the head, tinnitus, and tachycardia after changing position (bowing) means dysautomia?
Unlikely dysautomia: Most likely diagnosis is benign positional vertigo (bnv). However other diagnoses include meniere's disease and vestibular migraine. In the e.D. The DX can be made by positional changes . In dysautomia there is no tachycardia with change of positions. Meniere's and bnv involve disorders of the inner ear. Vestibular migraine is more associated with vision loss. Treatment is usually symptomatic. ...Read more

Had positional vertigo for over 10 years.hallpike positive, but after treatment, it comes back mildly usually after I get a cold.vestibular neuritis?
Good case: A cold can make symptoms worse, for sure, but I do not believe that means it is vestibular neuritis. Since you are sensitive to the Hallpike and you feel better with positional treatment, it cannot be just a case of vestibular neuritis. There must be a benign positional component too. ...Read more
Migraine aura with no headache following coiling unruptured aneurysm 20 months ago. The Zig zags/spring shapes last 30-40 mins. What causes this ?
Likely concussion: The tinnitus and dizziness could be from a concussion especially if it is not localized to one ear. Concussion symptoms will improve over time. If it is one ear then you might have labyrinthine concussion where the force delivered to the temporal bone that houses the ear causes hearing loss, tinnitus, and vertigo. See ENT if just one side. More importantly is why u passed out. Discuss with pcp. ...Read more

Sudden Dizziness for 13 days worse when resting. Have done epley maneuver 4x. Makes it worse. What might cause this?
Labyrinthitis? Vert?: From your brief description, it is hard to tell. Use HealthTap Prime or talk to an ear-nose-throat (ENT/Otolaryngologist) to discuss further. It sounds, though, like you have vertigo which can be caused by a loose rock (otolith) in the inner ear (your ear naturally makes the otolith to help determine position. Alternatively, viruses can attack the inner ear but usually cause other symptoms also.GL ...Read more
