Possibly GERD or OH: I think of 2 things which could cause nausea by placing the head down. One would be reflux of acid into the esophagus and the 2nd is benign paroxysmal positional vertigo. Not surprising: In a study of medical student, 3 days of bedrest resulted in weakness and dizziness with standing. It's hard to imagine a recommendation of bedrest for 2 months. It would be expected to be associated with a high risk of blood clots in ones legs and resultant pulmonary embolism, and osteoporosis.
