Migraine vertigo: Both migraine and labrynthitis can cause vertigo, however the pressure in the ear sensation is not normally seen with migraine. Labrynthitis can be a sudden onset very severe vertigo that can last weeks. Migrainous vertigo is usually more of a constant dizziness, and sometimes a little less severe. Anemia: The different measurements used to assess anemia in humans are the red blood count (RBC), hemoglobin (HGB) & hematocrit (HCT). In the USA, the hematocrit is the most reliable measurement. Intense, constant tinnitus for the past 2 days.
Should I be worried?
Not yet: The general consensus in our specialty (ENT) is that an 8 day history of your symptoms is a viral upper respiratory infection. An antibiotic is not needed at this time. Unfortunately, you have tinnitus or perception of sound in the ear which is a central (auditory nervous system) problem.
