Sinus headache: It sounds like you may have a sinus type headache. No wonder your CT of the head is negative. I believe a ct of the Osteomeatal unit - sinuses would be positive and could reveal some thickening in the sinuses or fluid levels. See an ENT. Most have this scanner in their offices. This depends on what: You mean by post cardiac. Did the patient have cardiac surgery? Myocardial infarction? cardiac infections? Arrhythmia treatments. Pos sinusitis or Flu: This could be flu. Has your nasal discharge turned to yellow or greenish? If so need antibiotics for sinusitis. The forehead pain suggests sinusitis, but can occur with febrile illness. Should not fool around w sinusitis, too close to brain. Is your nose stuffed? If so use afrin or a decongestant if you tolerate them. Would contact your PMD for further recommendations and an examination. ...Read more

Sounds: Like our old" friend" INFLUENZA....Take Tylenol or a NSAID for the fever/aches...drink lots of fluids...REST and if it goes into a third week have a hands on exam by your PCP (Primary Care Provider) WHO SHOULD ALSO KNOW what viruses are active in your community.
