When I have a headache and shake my head it hurts intensely bad on left side near temple, is this normal?

Kinda sorta: most people with bad headaches tend to remain still and quiet because movement tends to exacerbate there headaches. In your case, the left side of your head begins hurting much more when you move your head about by shaking. I don't know if that is common among headache people but it is true that there pain can get worse with movement. Www.healthtap.com/drsaghafi Key Code: PDXFNR ...Read more

No other problem?: Seems you were fortunat. Do pay attention, but if nothing unusual shows, you are probably fine. If you are over 60, there is some risk for internal bleeding to build up over a few days, but just be alert to anything odd. Be more careful about collisions with furniture. ;-) ...Read more

Got headache on left side of the head near temples. Pain is like a heartbeat comes and goes every second. Really hurts. Can i miss school. What to do?

Could be dental: I would seek out medical attention first and rule out medical perpetuating factors. After your physician finds no medical issues i would ask your dentist about muscle tension headaches and go thru a consult and diagnosis for tmd. I spend 6-8 weeks with my clients and if your pain goes away which of course only you know i would continue with therapy. Therapy is a plastic appliance that stretches. ...Read more
