Hcv Viral Rna Ql W Reflex To Quant
My hepatitis C antibody reactive(151.7).But in quantitative Hcv PCR test HCV RNA is less than 30 Iu/ml.Doctor said i have no hepatitis C infection.
Results: Hep C quant. : 2,802,680
HCV log10: 6.448. Reflex to genotype was unable to determine genotype even though there was sufficient HCV RNA?
Hepatitis C virus: Sometimes it's not possible to determine the genotype of this virus, which thus makes the expected response to treatment more uncertain. This is a 'slippery virus' -there are 11 major genotypes (designated 1-11), and many subtypes (a, b, c, etc.) A hepatologist (GI subspecialist) or an ID doctor who works with Hep C patients can help you. You'll need an established relationship for treatment... ...Read more
Hep B surface Ab - positive, Hep BE antigen - positive, Viral DNA 2000 IU. Acute Hep B DX. Tests don't match the serology timeline? Am I in recovery?
Need expert care: This situation is too complex for safe advice on this forum. You should be seeing an expert in person, or perhaps seek HealthTap's concierge service with an infectious diseases or liver disease expert. ...Read more
hepatitis Be Ab non-reactive
Hepatitis Be Ag: negative
Hepatitis Bs Ag: non reactive
Quantitative HBV PCR : detected
What it means?
See below: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Having said that, from what you provided, you could have an early stage infection with hepatitis B. More than 80% of the people recover from the infection on their own. Discuss it with the doctor who ordered the test. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
hepatitis b surface antigen reactive and hepatitis b surface antibody nonreactive and core antibody total reactive and HBV DNA detected sir plz reply?
You carry hep B: I am assuming you feel well and this was a surprise finding. There are millions of people like yourself. You will require lifelong health care for it unless / until a means of eradicating it is found. You pose no danger to a partner who is immunized. ...Read more
Advia hep.C antibody +, HCV RNA -. 3 months later Architect hep C Ab -, HCV RNA -. 2 Hep C Ab Verification tests -.Is Advia hepC Ab test false positiv
Without more info: and only the data you submitted in your question, I would put it together the way you did: the first Advia hepC Ab test was a false positive. I presume other experts who arranged your follow-up testing have suggested the same interpretation. Stay well:) ...Read more

Hepatitis Be Ag:reactive
Hepatitis Bs Ag:non - reactive
Quantitative HBV PCR:not detected what it means?
IMy HBV test results (red cross): Hepatitis B Surface Antigen: Nonreactive; Hepatitis B Core Antibodies: Reactive; HBV PCR: Negative. Do I have HBV?
Cured, but...: If a person's Hep B surface antigen is nonreactive, that means the lab does not find pieces of the surface of the virus. If her Hep B virus PCR is negative, that means the lab does not find the virus's DNA (genes). If the core antibody is reactive that means her immune system REMEMBERS being infected with Hep B. She is cured, but some viral DNA might be attached to her own human DNA in her liver. ...Read more
HBV test results: Hepatitis B Surface Antigen: Nonreactive; Hepatitis B Core Antibodies: Reactive; HBV PCR: Negative. Need any medication or vaccine?
Excellent question: and your story stumps many a doctor, often! :) a lot of the recommendations depend on - are you someone with risk factors for HBV? is this the first time that it has been checked? are your liver enzymes normal? are you about to undergo any procedures/ treatments that could put you at risk for HBV? If you have no sig risk factors, yes, I'd vaccinate you if there's potential for exposure. ...Read more
Is HIV Pooled RNA together with HIV antibody test and HEP C pooled RNA together with Hep C antibody test at 93 days of a Lancet prick conclusive? Thx
Yes: Pooling makes no difference in these tests. Negative results at 3 months are conclusive. ...Read more
I'm hebs ag negative with a high anti hbs antibody from vaccination. This week's test was reported as hebs ag detected with anti hbs antibody of 513 miu/ml. Lft normal....Scared....Lab error?
Yes: That sounds like lab error. Your hbsab would provide immunity; i'm assuming yoru hbcab (core) is negative; i wouldn't worry, talk to your doctor about a retest if you are concerned, but even if you were infected, there is no reason for treatment at this time. ...Read more
EBV early antigen Ab, IgG <9; EBV Eb, VcA, IgG >600; EBV nuclear antigen Ab IgG 108. Diagnossed with CAEBV infection. Does this sound right to you?
Maybe.: The profile is of a past infection. I am not sure if it can be diagnosed just by symptoms and evidence of past infection. I think you would need the second criteria of diagnosis which is DNA of EBV in peripheral tissue or blood detectable through PCR test with a low anti-EA. Hep B Virus (HBV) DNA Qualitative (Detection) - COBAS TaqMan , Hep C RNA Detection by Taqman detection will be conclusive on 47 days? Any retest need?
No: Both Hepatitis B and C viruses may be detected 30 to 60 days after infection by antigen detection or 60-120 days with antibody testing. Direct HBV DNA and HCV RNA testing can potentially detect infection earlier, within 2-4 weeks after infection, so being tested at 47 days post-exposure with a negative nucleic acid test for both is very likely to be a true negative ...Read more
