BP medications: Your mother's doctor has diagnosed her with hypertension and started her on losartan, which is a BP medicine along with HCTZ (hydrochlorothiazide) that is a diuretic. HCTZ (hydrochlorothiazide) also lowers BP. I suggest that nothing needs to be done, as this is a normal way to treat high BP. ...Read more

Depends: if you are not feeling lightheaded, nauseous, tremulous then you are not symptomatic from low BP and will likely be ok, drink fluids with high sodium content to bring your BP back up and if those mentioned above symptoms persist for a long time and you feel close to passing out, please seek medical care for IV fluids. ...Read more
