Follow healthy diet (1200 cals), exercise 6 hrs a week (weights and cardio) but struggle 2 lose weight (hormones & insulin fine).Could it be femodene?

Possible, but: It may be that even 1200 calories is too much for you, depending upon your height. The shorter you are, the fewer calories you require. Weight gain 20lbs, only in midsection, not pregnant, gym 4/week, running &weights, on wellbutrin (bupropion). Thyroid? Add blood test?

Possibly: Fat in your midsection can mean several things. If you haven't had thyroid studies recently, ask your doctor about them. Also you may have some food sensitivities or exposure to toxins that causes difficulty with Insulin resistance. Can the tuna and water diet work for fast, dramatic weight loss?

Does hCG work for weight loss?

Does hCG work for weight loss?

It's not proven to: What works is reducing caloric intake. Weight loss clinics often tout the weight loss effects of hcg, but what really helps is that they put their clients on a drastically reduced calorie intake. This seems to work great in the short run, but is not sustainable, and all too often the weight comes right back. ...Read more

Will building the leg muscles through weight training & high calorie protein diet help reduce the appearance of saggy thighs post weight loss? Age 22.

Will building the leg muscles through weight training & high calorie protein diet help reduce the appearance of saggy thighs post weight loss? Age 22.

It depends: It depends on how much weight you have lost. If it was a significant amount, the fat is lost but the skin was stretched so far that it just hangs when the fat disappears. We are talking about a hundred pounds or more that would affect this type of change. If it was 20-30 pounds, working the thigh muscles will firm and build up the muscle structures that the skin will not hang. ...Read more

Weight loss: Burning off 350 calories 6 days a week is 2100 calories a week. A pound of fat is 3500 calories. But, the real benefit of aerobic exercise is that you are burning calories at a higher rate for roughly 4-6 hours after stopping exercise. Good luck! ...Read more

Almost 18, overweight 240, tried losing weight in grade 9 lost 10 lbs in a month but exams came & gained 7 lbs in a week. Why?

Probably because...: One ate more food or drinks, meaning calories, than one used up during that week. Some women also hold onto water-weight and/or poop-weight during certain days of their menstrual cycle. If those days happen to be at the same time as when she eats too many calories, then the sudden weight gain will even be more striking. To not gain weight, one cannot eat more calories than one uses up! ...Read more

Can weight loss affect heart rate? Losing 40kg in 1.5 years, little to no workout, my RHR went from high 70s to med 50s. Energy normal, no symptoms.

However, in setting of malnutrition (e.g., in anorexia or bulimia), a low heart rate can be an early sign of heart failure. The lack of any symptoms is encouraging, but be careful about excessive or rapid weight loss and make sure you have a healthy and adequate diet. ...Read more
