No.: Any pregnancy test done on a patient with a Mirena (levonorgestrel) should be negative. If you have a positive test, you need to see your doctor right away, to see if you are pregnant with the iud in place. There is a high risk of ectopic pregnancy when one conceives w/mirena in place. Depends: Did you miss a period? If you did and the HCG level was done after missed period, you are not pregnant. If you did not miss a period you may wish to do a home test. If you miss your period by 4-5 days, do a home pregnancy test. If the result is negative repeat the test 4-5 days later unless you get a period by then.
