Doctors post said that 634 hCG level is possible just 3-4 days after sex, but then said it would take about 10 days to reach a level of 25. How?

Doctors post said that 634 hCG level is possible just 3-4 days after sex, but then said it would take about 10 days to reach a level of 25. How?

Need clarification: You're right ... The math isn't adding up. You could not have a level of 634 only 3-4 days after conception. The general rule of thumb is that you can start to test HCG blood levels as early as 10 days after conception. And, that HCG levels double every 48 hours. Neither of those statements is concrete, just general rules. The dr may have meant 25, 000. Ask to have your levels tested again. ...Read more

Can(not will) doctors prescribe HCG for boosting low T in male, and can insurances cover HCG? (in general, not asking about any specific insurance)

Hypogonadism: hCG can be prescribed off-label to treat younger men w/documented hypogonadism who want to maintain their fertility. In these circumstances, some insurances may cover hCG cost after much cajoling by prescribing physician but no guarantees. Clomiphene & tamoxifen are also used off-label too for same purpose: stimulate testes to produce more testosterone & sperm. But 1st, find cause of hypogonadism. ...Read more

Pregnant: Beta-hCG tends to increase over the course of gestation until weeks 13-16 (and generally doubles in value every 2-3 days in a healthy fetus). After this time, the value starts to decrease ... So the value that you've given can't really be interpreted by itself as a stand alone number without more information. Should discuss further with your doctor. Hope that helps! ...Read more

Hello doctors i just wanted to ask one question that what will be the hCG beta level in pregnency?

As the pregnancy goes along, levels quickly rise to peak at about 9-10 weeks. Levels can then be upwards of 80, 000-100, 000. They fall slightly for the remainder of the pregnancy, but still stay fairly high, above 10, 000. ...Read more
