HCG level: The two lines need not be of the same intensity as these are due to different reagents and only one is due to hcg. If the matter is of such concern, you may consult your doctor for an HCG level keeping in mind that there is a wide variation in normal levels. It is possible that: you were pregnant and now you are not. A quanitative HCG test should be able to give you an exact answer. You might need to have it done more than once.
