Hcg Not Doubling
Ultrasound measured 5w3d based on CR length. Sack, yolk and pole visible. HCG not doubling. Could hcg still rise even if embryo not developing?
Hcg levels continue to double mine are more than doubling ges sac measuring 5w5d however i'm 5w2d. Hcg 4967 no yolk sac. Ovulated 18aug?
Perfect: Your #'s are perfect. For an ovulation of 8/18, and therefore a conception date shortly thereafter, you're measurements are right on, and your HCG is correlating perfectly with these numbers. A yolk sac will likely form in next few days. You should heart a heart beat in about 7 more days. No worries at all! ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Is free beta HCG different from HCG they measure in early pregnancy? If HCG was elevated at 5w5d, does this mean my HCG will be high at quad screen?
Will my hCG levels continue to double with a blighted ovum? Mine are more than doubling ges sac measuring 5w5d however i'm 5w2d. Hcg 4967 no yolk sac
Generally not: If your HCG is doubling and the sac is approx. Consistent with your dates, chances are that you do not have a blighted ovum - could be a normal pregnancy. Keep checking sonos and hcg's - may need intervention if signs of fetal activity / growth are not evident. Good luck. ...Read more
Not necessarily.: As with anything else in nature, there is a physiologic variation regarding the doubling time for beta HCG in the first trimester. The rule of thumb is that it should double every 48 hours if it is a viable intrauterine pregnancy. Failure to do so suggests blighted ovum/miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, or even normal early pregnancy. See your gynecologist and get pelvic ultrasound to know for sure! ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Monday hCG 9k. Friday hCG 24k, no hb on ultrasound, fetal pole 0.2 mm. Tues hCG 44k. No symptoms of mmc. Does hCG rise so normally after missed mc?
In short, yes: Dropping HCG levels mean an abnormal pregnancy if they are measured during the early weeks of pregnancy, this does not hold true if measured later in pregnancy when levels can drop and be normal. There are occasional time when they may not rise as expected when there are significant maternal illnesses as well. ...Read more
14dpo hCG 174, 16dpo hCG 342, 22dpo hCG 5656, progesterone 54. Could fast doubling time indicate molar pregnancy?
No: Molar pregnancies are almost never diagnosed this early. Good news! The hCG is rising at a mostly appropriate rate, the "doubling time" is not exact. Why are so many quants being done so many days in a row? ...Read more

4-ve hpt's blood hCG 8.1miu/ml after 6weeks of protected intercourse what does that mean pregnant or not pregnant? Why hCG level is 8 if not pregnant?
Repeat blood: You can repeat the blood test in 48 hours. If it doubles then you are pregnant. If it stays the same then the test is just detecting your baseline bhcg level which is not weird at all. ...Read more
Blighted ovum or potential ectopic? My HCG levels doubled, then dropped twice before rising again. OBGYN is recommending methotrexate.
Good idea: After multiple lab examinations, if there is still nothing seen in the uterus and a rising HCG, you most certainly have an abnormal pregnancy that should be actively managed. A dilation and curettage would help to figure out if the abnormal pregnancy was in the uterus. If it was confirmed that it was not in the uterus, then methotrexate would be a good idea along with continued lab follow up. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
