Post FET Hcg not doubling. 195- (72 hrs) 597-1056-1807 tests 48 hours apart. Thoughts? I'm so worried.

Doubling: Every 48 hours is a rule of thumb. Yours are close to doubling. I wouldn't stress out now. Wait till the planned ultrasound...... ...Read more

Hcg not doubling. 13dpo was 94 and went to 141 in 48 hours then 289 then 481 then 770 and showed small sac on u/s. 7 days later went to 2409, viable?

HCG doubling: The rule of thumb of doubling per 48 hours is a LOOSE estimate. At least 66% increase per 48 hours is still a good sign. And sometimes it can be a "staggered" rise, with a rise of less than 66% followed by a rapid rise. Overall 66% rise per 48 hours averaged over the testing time would be reassuring for viability. Are you saying it took 7 days to go from 770 to 2409? ...Read more

Ultrasound measured 5w3d based on CR length. Sack, yolk and pole visible. HCG not doubling. Could hcg still rise even if embryo not developing?

HCG can still rise: Most betaHCG is produced by trophoblastic cells of the placenta and the level of betaHCG reflects the activity of this placental tissue; unfortunately it can continue to rise even if there is no embryo or if the embryo is not developing". ...Read more

If my hCG is doubling should I not be worried? I was spotting, got put on progesterone 200mg. I was at a 12.5 dr. Wanted me at a 15 im so scared! : (

Right: If your HCG is doubling that is a very good sign that your pregnancy is progressing normally. While miscarriage is common, and could happen in the future of this pregnancy, right now it sounds as if everything is going right. Follow doctor's advice as they know you best, good luck! ...Read more

Is it likely to have a normal pregnancy if no yolk sac seen on Transvaal u/s at 5w5d? Beta HCGs are doubling perfectly. Last beta was 13388 at 5w5d.

Is it likely to have a normal pregnancy if no yolk sac seen on Transvaal u/s at 5w5d? Beta HCGs are doubling perfectly. Last beta was 13388 at 5w5d.

Varies: It still might be a bit early to see either the yolk sac or fetal pole, though honestly it shows up at variable times. While this could be a blighted ovum, I would repeat the US in 2 weeks. By 7 1/2 weeks you really should be seeing the fetal pole. ...Read more

Hcg keeps doubling like it should had u/s says I'm 5wks 2days but only saw gest sac no yolk or fetal pole isn't that norm? Dr swears it's ovum? Help

Hcg keeps doubling like it should had u/s says I'm 5wks 2days but only saw gest sac no yolk or fetal pole isn't that norm? Dr swears it's ovum? Help

Could be fine: Early pregnancy ultrasounds at 5 weeks can sometimes show only a gestational sac and no fetal pole. When women are in the situation with HCG levels that are doubling every 2-3 days there is a good chance that everything is fine. I will sometimes have a woman get another ultrasound in 5-7 days to see if the gestational sac is larger. ...Read more

5w3d pregnant, hcg not doubling as it should. Scan showed growth but only heart rate of 66bmp. Chances of survival for fetus?

Unsure: So at 5 weeks 3 days you should not even see the pregnancy much less a heartbeat. So it is possible things are just very early and that is why the heart beat is so low. The labs likely are unimportant now. The most prognostic sign is what happens on the ultrasound and whether the pregnancy grow and the heart beat rises ...Read more

5 weeks prg I have been Spotting light peach light pink for 5 days. Hcg is doubling and everything else is fine why is this happening, miscarriage?

Possible: Many women spot in early pregnancy, probably from a little separation of the placenta. By 6 weeks, an ultrasound will tell whether it will be a miscarriage or normal pregnancy. ...Read more

Is HCG not doubling in 5 days a sign of a miscarriage? 5-6 weeks pregnant. Hcg-910/5 days later hcg-1, 300

Yes: This should be correlated with ultrasound and perhaps progesterone levels, but this does not suggest a normal pregnancy. Doubling usually occurs in 2 to 3 days, so your level should be 3000 or better. ...Read more

Beta HCG 3700, doubling normally, w5d5 pregnant by LMP, and no gestational SAC seen on Vaginal US. This means Ectopic?

Maybe: It might be an ectopic, intra uterine or molar pregnancy. If no gestational sac is seen by the 8th week of pregnancy by ultrasound and the hCG is still rising then a search for the pregnancy site is definitely warranted. ...Read more

From which HCG level, I can see a sac? HCG is now 3722 and no SAC seen on vaginal US. Does this mean ectopic pregnancy? My HCG is doubling normally

BHCG: Typically a pregnancy can be seen around a BHCG of 2000. Some variation is expected depending on the skill of the sonographer and the quality of the machine. At 3722 and a doubling BHCG a pregnancy should be seen regardless of whether or not it is normal pregnancy or an ectopic. Follow up is warranted with your doctor. ...Read more

My Hcg doubling time went from 42 hours to 68 hours. Does this mean I'm most likely going to miscarry.?

It really depends: The significance of doubling time depends on how far along you are in pregnancy. The rate of increase in HCG peaks at about 8-10 weeks then starts declining after that. If you're less than 8-10 weeks along, then a combination of symptoms, clinical judgment and serial ultrasounds are at least as important as HCG levels in determining the fate of your pregnancy. Please talk to your OB. ...Read more
