Progesterone and hCG levels early pregnancy after ivf?

Progesterone and hCG levels early pregnancy after ivf?

Ok: Most ivf clinics only measure HCG levels approximately 9 days after a day 5 embryo transfer. However, some clinics feel that the combination of HCG levels and Progesterone levels have a more predictive value of a good pregnancy than HCG levels alone. Personally, we only measure hcg. Hope this helps and good luck.

"Normal"hCG: This is a "normal beta hCG value for this stage in pregnancy. If the value continues to go up exponentially then your OB MD will look for a multiple gestation via ultrasound.

Should I be concerned if my HCG didn't quite double on my 3rd HCG? Levels were 920, 2298, then 3907. IVF patient, 2 embryo transfer.

No: Sometimes the HCG level doesn't quite double but the pregnancy is ok. They should be able to do an ultrasound and check for a heartbeat at 5 to 6 weeks.

I underwent an IVF and the embryo transfer was done on 22 nov. Now after first blood test on 11 nov 2012 the hCG level is 8686.83. Is it normal?

High: I assume that HCG was from 12/11/12. That is about 5-6 weeks pregnant depending on whether you had day 3 or day 5 transfer. That number could be normal but definitely suggests multiple pregnancies. Your ultrasound will show you what is happening.

What is the difference between hCG level and bata level for a 3 day IVF transfer? My numbers are 1508 hCG and my bata #is 24.19

Hormone: The pregnancy test commonly referred to as HCG is actually a measure of the beta subunit of the HCG molecule, so you may hear it referred to as beta hcg, hcg, or beta and they are the same test. I think you may be mistaken on the second test-- the result seems more consistent with a Progesterone level.

I had an IVF on last month 24th. My HCG level was 60 after 15 days. But it came down to 6.5 after a week. Now (after 3 more days) it is up by 24. Can I?

Hcgs: I know this seems confusing to you. First let me say that it is unlikely that were going to have a successful ongoing pregnancy but never say never. The best way to proceed is to continue to check your hCGs and follow them closely. I am also curious about your Progesterone levels. Possibilities include; first and most likely chemical pregnancy. Second and also possible is a tubal pregnancy. Third

IVF 5 day transfer. Day 12 bloodwork HCG level @ 14, Day 14 bloodwork HCG decreased to 8.2. Doctor says not pregnant. Could I still be pregnant?

Rational Thought: Not sure what we can offer you here. You are not pregnant. The pregnancy did not take. Your own physician who cares for you has already broken the bad news to you. Right?

Does a dropping hCG level in early pregnancy always mean miscarriage?

Does a dropping hCG level in early pregnancy always mean miscarriage?

In short, yes: Dropping HCG levels mean an abnormal pregnancy if they are measured during the early weeks of pregnancy, this does not hold true if measured later in pregnancy when levels can drop and be normal. There are occasional time when they may not rise as expected when there are significant maternal illnesses as well.

Not normal: If your HCG was 65 on wed and 64 on friday most likely a missed ab but you should have one done 3 days after the last one and it should be double in 3 days.

My hcg levels are at <2.39 does this mean I am in early pregnancy?

My hcg levels are at <2.39 does this mean I am in early pregnancy?

HCG: A positive pregnancy test means that the HCG level has become high enough to detect – for blood tests that means over 25 mIU/ml. If this was a blood test, please discuss with the ordering provider.

How hCG level increase in ectopic pregnancy andhow early it can bw found nd any peculiar symptoms?

How hCG level increase in ectopic pregnancy andhow early it can bw found nd any peculiar symptoms?

HCG: Is found at some amount in any pregnancy. In an ectopic pregnancy the baby plants in the tube instead of the uterus. As it grows and stretches the tube it causes pain. If not found the tube will burst and needing will start and the mom can die. It is not possible for this baby to live.

Some docs say hCG levels have wide variations, but some say that the rise is very consistent in early pregnancy and that it always doubles. Explain...

Both are right: The absolute number an pregnant individual has as a result at one point in time has a broad range. You cannot predict the number of weeks of pregnancy solely based on the absolute number. However if you take one persons value and follow it over time, it should double every two days.

Pregnancy (Definition)

When your due date arrives, you will be more than ready to have your baby! Most women deliver the baby somewhere between 37 and 42 weeks. According to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, only 5% of babies arrive on the exact due date. Approximately 7% of babies are not delivered by 42 weeks, and when that happens, it is referred to ...Read more
