Yes: This varies amongst women. A normal level at 5 weeks is anywhere between 18 and 7,340. As long as you're having an appropriate rise in your HCG level (doubling every 48-72 hrs), then there's nothing to worry about. Not yet: The doubling every 48 hours is just an estimate that we follow. If you have not had any bleeding or pain and your Progesterone levels are normal. Inadequate doubling of the number is not concerning, if these other things are normal. ...Read more

At 8 weeks by hCG level was 110000 then at 9 weeks it was only 130000. Is it normal for it to plateau at this point? It has been doubling nicely up until this week. I have my first scan on wednesday

Normal: I am not sure why you are following HCG levels at this point in the pregnancy. An us is a much better way to confirm a viable pregnancy at this geatation. Hcg levels do plateau. ...Read more
