I've been on the hCG diet for one week so far and I am getting really hungry. I have cheated by eating nuts. Will this stop me form losing weight?
Yes: You must follow the diet originally created by dr. Simeon. If you are getting hungry than you are not on real HCG or the proper dose. The only way to do this diet is under supervision of a qualified physician and strict adherence to the original 500 calorie diet. When done the right way, you will not be hungry. The wrong nuts have high fat content which is counter to the diet. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
I weight 190 and i'm very active and i'm on a weight last pill call hCG and i'm on a 1500 cal diet why i'm i not losing weight?
Not losing weight: Hcg is not approved by fda as weight loss med due to concerns of safety & effectiveness supposed to be used with ultra-low-calorie diet (less than 500). It can overstimulate ovaries & cause edema & weight gain. Fda believes wt loss solely due to caloric restriction. See fp, who will probably advise stopping HCG & lower caloric intake. http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/calorie-calculator/nu00598. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
Doesn't sound safe: The HCG diet has a person eating 500 calories a day for more than a month. That's just one big slice of pizza a day. A 4-month old baby eats 500 calories a day. Anybody on 500 calories a day is on a starvation diet and will lose weight. It doesn't sound safe. Extremely low calorie diets don't work because the weight comes back when one starts eating again. Long-term lifestyle changes are needed. ...Read more
How safe is it to take the oral homeopathic hCG drops to lose weight. Everyone seems to be losing a lot on it. My friend joined "shape reclaimed".
Not recommended: Homeopathic HCG was taken off the market in december 2011. The fda and ftc issued warning letters to multiple companies selling these products for making unsubstantiated claims. http://tinyurl.com/mqklddh homeopathic HCG differs from products given by injection, which are still on the market. Besides the daily injections, a 500 calorie diet is also required. The HCG supposedly prevents hunger. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Go see your doctor: Despite what ads & marketing suggest, there's no proof that HCG causes weight loss. In fact, fda frowns upon sales of homeopathic HCG products for this purpose (http://goo.Gl/w863r). Talk to your doc about your wt concerns since oral steroids can cause weight gain while inhaled steroids are less likely to do so. But don't forget that you need to be able to breathe if you're going to lose weight! ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
I'm currently on lamictal (25mg, titrating over 2 months to 100). Would it be safe to take homeopathic hCG with this? Am also on dextroamphetamine and methylphenidate and just can't lose weight!
Homeopathic HCG: Homeopathic HCG won't interact with Lamictal or your other medicines, but it's questionable whether it will help you any. In fact, in 2011 the fda & ftc removed these products from the market because of making deceptive claims in their ads. They are now illegal. http://tinyurl.com/85ap9ym this is not the case with traditional homeopathic remedies which have been in use for 200+ years. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Your opinion on HCG diet injections? is it HCG that makes you lose weight or the 500 calorie a day intake? Is it safe to take with wellbutrin (bupropion) & Zoloft
In a normal: person, they work continuously; more hgh than hcg unless you're pregnant. They should never be taken unless prescribed by a physician for a legitimate medical indication, which is very uncommon. How long they take to "work" depends upon why they are taken, and whether there is a valid medical indication for their use. ...Read more
