Medically supervised very low calorie diet (800 calories). Ok to exercise. Principle of ketosis. Burn about 400 cal/day/hr monitor. Safe?

Medically supervised very low calorie diet (800 calories). Ok to exercise. Principle of ketosis. Burn about 400 cal/day/hr monitor. Safe?

No safe shortcuts: This type of diet often makes the body angry, decreasing calories too much too quickly will send your body into starvation mode. Less calories = weight loss, but your body will become more efficient at holding onto calories, so you will gain the weight back and then some later on. Weight watchers is the safest and most consistent in my experience with thousands of people. ...Read more

What diet should a person with hypoglycemia follow? Pls suggest vegetarian diet

What diet should a person with hypoglycemia follow? Pls suggest vegetarian diet

You don't have it: In addition, in my 35 years of practice, I have never seen a case of reactive hypoglycemia. The disorder doesn't exist, if you're overweight the symptoms are a natural response to you sugar returning to normal. A glucose tolerance test (if you've had one) is not and never will be a valid diagnostic test for hypoglycemia. Low glucose only ocurrs when treating diabetes, cancer, renal/liver disease. ...Read more

Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do doctors actually recommend a calorie restricted diet for well-being?

Do doctors actually recommend a calorie restricted diet for well-being?

Calorie restriction: My dieticians and I do not typically set calorie restrictions for patients. Instead, we educate them on which foods are healthy and which foods to avoid. Then we work on modifying their eating habits. Realistically, if you eliminate a lot of carbs and sugars from your diet, you can lose a lot of weight. Of course volume is also a factor and we work on portion control as well. ...Read more

Dental hygiene advice on the best proper care routine, techniques, and precautions for bulimics. It relapsesapproximately 5-7 days monthly; otherwise has a healthy diet.

Floride rinse: Bulimia is destructive to your teeth due to the high concentration of gastrointestinal acids that pass through the oral cavity. This lowers the ph of the area and causes destruction of enamel until the ph can be increased to a more neutral level. Using a Fluoride rinse like act! will help by increasing the ph at a more rapid rate than your saliva does naturally. ...Read more

Follow healthy diet (1200 cals), exercise 6 hrs a week (weights and cardio) but struggle 2 lose weight (hormones & insulin fine).Could it be femodene?

Possible, but: It may be that even 1200 calories is too much for you, depending upon your height. The shorter you are, the fewer calories you require. It takes 3500 calories burned off that you don't eat in order to lose one pound. You could also be calculating your calories incorrectly. Check w/a registered dietitian. ...Read more
