Sac 5w. CRL 7w. No FCA on Doppler. Hcg 6100. Last week hCG 4800. I have pcos, fibroids. LMP Feb 2014. US shows sac implanted low. Is this there hope?
Sorry but not likely: With no fetal cardiac activity at 7 weeks, the likelihood of a normal pregnancy is very, very low. The hCG does not appear to have risen at an appropriate rate which indicates a problem with the pregnancy. ...Read more
Pcos is a metabolic disorder affecting 8-10% of women that may cause irregular periods, acne or increased hair growth, infertility or subfertility, and increases the risk of diabetes. To diagnose pcos, we need 2 out of 3 of: 1. Irregular or no periods 2. Acne, hair growth and/or blood tests showing too much male-type hormones (androgens) 3. Ultrasound showing large ovaries ...Read more

I had a followup TV ultrasound for lack of period for 5mths, now I have parovarian cyst on my right ovary. Could that be related to my PCOS? Hcg neg
Not likely: Polycystic ovarian syndrome is a bit of a misnomer, one needn't have a 'cyst' to have the diagnosis. Having said that, a lot of women have paraovarian cysts without PCOS, as well. PCOS is more of an endocrine disorder, than a problem with cysts. Women with PCOS often don't' have a period, and can have excess testosterone, excess estrogen and increased risk for diabetes. ...Read more
My cousin had relationship three months ago. She didn't have her menses yet.urine hcg test was negative.she has pcos too. How can she confirm if it is?
Amenorrhea: If hCG is not present she is not pregnant. PCOS is very serious and is the likely cause of her not having her periods. She needs to be treated. Staying physically fit and trim helps PCOS, perhaps you can share fitness activities ...Read more

Yes late ov but pg!: The charts detailing your gestational age include 2 weeks prior to your ovulation. The charts are set as if everyone ovulated on day 14. If you set your ovulation day as day 14 your corrected LMP would be 10/6/13. The HCG levels on 11/4 and 11/6 are appropriate with this date. On 11/19 you will be 6 weeks 2 days which is the earliest to do a viability scan. Congratulations! ...Read more
Taking Clomid (clomiphene) for pcos. Will I need an hCG shot as well? In what cases would this happen?
Prior had 2 '3dfet' -(twins live births) My hcg=164 (12dpfet). Am now preg. Hcg 76 (13dfet). Am I a slow starter? Is it due to having PCOS?
Schedule follow up: It is tough to decipher your question. I think you are saying you are 13 days post frozen embryo transfer and that your BHCG is 76. I think you are concerned because this is slightly lower than your last pregnancy when a 12-day post transfer level was 164. If that is correct then one can not compare the results from one pregnancy to another and draw any specific conclusions. ...Read more

Can pcos cause low levels of hcg? Having regular cycles for years once I started taking metformin. Tracking ovulation with opk's.
I have pcos and had an hCG trigger 18 days ago, and am 16 DPO with many pregnancy symptoms, but negative home tests. Could i still be pregnant?
Possible: The home pregnancy test are not always accurate. You could be pregnant with a very low level of HCG (hormone of pregnancy) and this will not be detected by a home pregnancy test. You can ask your obgyn or fertility specialist to order a blood work for HCG level as well as progesterone, this will tell you more precisely if you are pregnant and/or whether you truly ovulated. ...Read more
Lost 2 pregnancies due to low hcg. Were lost at 4 1/2 and 5 1/2 weeks. What is the cause? Pcos w/ normal cycles & ovulation. Takes metformin, diagnosis in er
Recurrent miscarriag: The low HCG results are not the cause of the lost pregnancies, but rather an indicator that the pregnancies were nonviable. You have to look for the reason why a pregancy could not grow normally. One specific factor to look for with recurrent miscarriage is a diagnosis of lupus (with the lupus anticoagulant); other causes are congenital abnormalities of the uterus, fibroid tumors, and chromosomal. ...Read more
Accurate: If you have not had a period for 6 months and you have pcos, then the problem is that you are not ovulating. A test at 22 days after intercourse should accurately reflect if you are pregnant or not. If the test is negative, then talk with your doctor about ways to induce ovulation as well as metformin. ...Read more
Lmp 09/20 pcos empty u/s pain on left abdominal hCG 11/04 and 11/06 viability scan on 11/19. Is the ab pain indicator of ectopic?
Rarely: Sometimes pain is a presentation of ectopic pregnancy, but most common presentation of ectopic pregnancy is pain with bleeding. If you have high risk for ectopic, you would want a scan possibly before 11/19? You can determine pregnancy is intrauterine at around HCG of 2000. Do you know the results of your HCG from today? ...Read more

277 hCG on 11/04 and numbers doubled on 11/06. Pcos and blighted ovum on 08/16. Don't know my progesterone level. Due to conditions and loss, should i?
The doc should: Draw a Progesterone level with the beta because a high one is reassuring a low one under 5 is not, 5-10 is worrisome, over 10 is normal, over 20 is favorable and repeat the beta in 3 days should double every 3 days if u are preg now the blighted ovum on 8/16 has nothing to do with this pregnancy. ...Read more

Unclear: I'm so sorry you're going through this. Bleeding doesn't always mean miscarriage but obviously that's a possibility. Based on that LMP should be about 6w 3d. It's possible they didn't see sac 3 days ago, but by today should be something seen on ultrasound maybe ask your doctor for a repeat ultrasound? I hope for the best for you. ...Read more
Can a woman with pcos be pregnant and not show hCG in blood test, first month of pregnancy. And have one last period on the same month?
41, tubal ligation in 2010, history of pcos. Went in for semi-annual visit. Doctor ordered blood tests. Hcg comes back 444. What's going on?
You are pregnant: Except for certain unusual tumors, a positive beta means you are pregnant. This can happen because one of your tubes is actually open or more likely the sperm got in, fertilized an egg and got stuck in your fallopian tube. This is called an ectopic pregnancy and can be life threatening. Please follow up closely with your gyn. ...Read more
I have PCOS.cramping for 2weeks.pink/brown discharge 4 days b4 period should come but stopped 4 days later. Negative hCG test.not had problems before?
My LMP was on dec 20. I have irregular periods and pcos. I did my pregnant test on jan 19 and came back as pos. But in us on 2/13 no sac. Hcg on 2/7 is 2984.
Early pregnancy: It's too soon to tell if things are going well or not. With a + test on jan 19, the ultrasound may have been done as early as the 5th gestational week. Sometimes the sac isn't seen that early. Repeat hcgs every 48 hours x 3 and repeat ultrasound in 1-2 weeks should solve the question. Hcg should rise by about 66% every 48 hours in a healthy pregnancy. Good luck! ...Read more
