Hcg 9 Weeks
Possible Pregnancy: Whatever clots or specimen you had when you had the miscarriage should have been examined by the pathologist to determine the presence of embryonic or fetal parts because otherwise the HCG elevation means you still have the conceptus/embryonic/fetal parts inside you. Other possibility is a growing tumor that is secreting hcg. ...Read more

Hcg levels at 9weeks 3 days was 76,000, levels checked again at 9 weeks 5 days hcg was 80,000. When does hcg levels plateau? Normal or abnormal?
Why checking HCG?: It would be helpful if you provided the units on those lab values. Not sure if they're different in Canada vs. US. If you are truly 9 weeks pregnant why are they even checking your HCG levels? Are you bleeding? Is the baby measuring small? At 9 weeks gestation the most important findings are the baby's heart rate and if the baby is continuing to grow normally. ...Read more

Ivf beta hCG numbers 1st 9 days post 5 day transfer 67, 4 days later 78, 2 days later 80 and 2 days later 165. Definite chemical pregnancy or ectopic?
Can't say yet: We can't diagnose your pregnancy over the internet. 67 is an ok first beta, but it should rise by at least 50% every 48 hours. There is a slim chance that this could be a normal pregnancy, but more likely a biochemical pregnancy (hcg levels go up then down, never get high enough to see pregnancy on ultrasound), a miscarriage, or an ectopic. If severe pain/bleeding go to er. Your md will follow you. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

When can I expect bleeding/miscarriage?
Maybe never: A missed abortion (miscarriage) can cause a decline in the HCG levels, but not eventuate into bleeding or tissue passage. Your treating MD is probably aware of the same and may consider D & C if the levels continue to drop, yet no bleeding occurs. The other thing that does this is ectopic pregnancy which can be dangerous. Report pain to your MD immediately. ...Read more
At 5w4d pregnant my hCG level was 8, 250. At 7w3d pregnant my hCG level was 36, 350. Saw heartbeat 7w3d at 158. Concern: levels rising quick enough?
Yes: Once one see the heartbeat, the levels become less and less important. There is wide variation in the "normal" numbers of hcg. Thus, now that you've seen a heartbeat i wouldn't worry for one second that the pregnancy is progressing appropriately. Good luck. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
