Not to worry...: These values are within the expected range, so i see no need to worry about them. If you are concerned about possibly having diabetes, due to family history, then i would suggest you see your primary care physician to discuss these concerns. ...Read more

Normal: All of these results are normal. The c-peptide is of limited value. It can help in the diagnosis of type 1 diabetes if the blood sugar is high. Your say that you have type 2 diabetes and are taking metformin/vildagliptin but have a bmi of 15.9. I would seriously question the diagnosis of type 2 diabetes, and would get an opinion from an endocrinologist. ...Read more

One does not really have to fast for it, but it is best done fasting in my opinion, because your doctor will probably want to see a fasting blood sugar at the same time to help manage your diabetes.
