I have a mole on my chin which i get hair growing so I have to pluck them out which is quite painful so would i be able to get it removed?

Yes, can be removed: Moles can typically either be shaved off or cut out. While shaving typically removes the pigmented part of most raised moles it will not remove the hair follicles. Therefore, the mole can either be surgically removed which will leave a small scar or can be shaved followed by laser hair removal treatment of the remaining hairs. I have a mole on my neck since a child i was told if it grew turned black and grew hairs i was to have it removed why?

Not a problem: Honestly, hair growth within a mole is really not an issue. Color change, however, is one of the events in the "life" of a mole that should direct you to see a dermatologist. I certainly would recommend that. ...Read more

Should I have this mole removed? It's on my hair line right infront of my ear. It is like a mole that is on top of a mole. It's brown and it doesn't irritate me, but it's getting bigger now that I am pregnant. When i touch it, it feels like apart of it wa

Maybe: It is hard to answer your question without an examination. It is concerning when moles change - change in size, color, become irregularly shaped, itch, bleed. Most moles are relatively easy to remove and test. Please see your primary doctor or a surgeon to see if this needs to be removed and tested. ...Read more

Should i be worried about a mole losing it's long hair. ?

No: The hair in the mole will likely come back and go through cycles of growth, fall out and regrowth as happens with all hair. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. Practice safe sex. ...Read more

Why do some men have a mole with hairs exploding out of it?

Why do some men have a mole with hairs exploding out of it?

They don't care: Most men are hairier than most women. The presence of hair coming from a mole reflects this. And most women would probably have such a mole (nevus) removed, while many men wouldn't care or would like it. A person has a choice -- one person will like a lesion that another person detests. Either gender can have a hairy mole or a larger hairy pigmented lesion. ...Read more
