I have not had s problem moving my bowels, until two days ago. I am regular with normal stools. In a few instances, I have difficulty eliminating. Today, after an enema I passed hard pebble like stool. Not normal amount. thisnis rare. ?
Bowel change: Since this is a change in your usual bowel pattern, it shouldn't be ignored and a colonoscopy may be in order. Your stools suggest recent constipation and if increasing fluid intake and fiber or Metamucil in your daily diet doesn't get you back to normal regularity, it's important to be evaluated by a gastroenterologist. If you haven't had a screening colonoscopy, this is a good time to get one. ...Read more
Nausea after bowel movement and occasional bleeding but i think that may be a ruptured pile.Waiting on colonoscopy for past 5 months.Very loose stools?
See a GI doctor: Can't imagine why it takes 5 months for a colonscopy if you are symptomatic with diarrhea and blood in the stool. You must discuss this with the doctor and if they will not schedule you sooner, seek another opinion. Do not assume the blood is from hemorrhoids. If it is, great. If not you need to clearly determine the source. Hemorrhoids will not explain your other symptoms. Get seen and get well. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

This usually cleans out most of the bowel but more proximally in the rt. colon and distal small bowel residual food products persist. Eating a sandwhich and having a bowel movement 10 hrs later especially if multiple doesn't represent the digested sandwich but the residual content after prep. ...Read more

Most of the bowel movements i've been having were normal but for a few seconds it was just watery diarrhea. Can this happen during your period?
It depends: There is tremendous variation between the number of bowel movements normal people have each week. The important thing is for you to know yourself - if you usually have a bm every day and now you haven't in 3 days that is significant. On the other hand if you usually only have 1 bm a week then missing a day or two is not a big deal. If it is abnormal for you and you are uncomfortable see a doc. ...Read more
I'm 28 weeks pregnant. Is it normal to have a dramatic change in bowel movements? I was having 1 every 2-3 days. This week it's 2-3 everyday.
Still normal range: The average American's bowel frequency is 1 every 3-4 days ranging to 3 per day. Pregnancy has many physiologic effects, including some involving the gut.
