Yes, enjoy trip: Frustrating to have prolapse recur so soon after surgery. Bladder prolapse is rarely dangerous unless you can't pee. If the sponge is helping, enjoy trip and see a urogynecolgist when you get back. ...Read more

I'm going to have a hysterectomy and would like to know more about having this done using robotic surgery method.

I'm going to have a hysterectomy and would like to know more about having this done using robotic surgery method.

We can do hysterectomies this way without making a large incision. The benefits to the patient are less pain, less blood loss and a faster recovery. Wfaa news:

My sisters dr nicked bladder during hysterectomy. Stitched and placed stent. How serious is this?

Should be fine: You may mean placed "catheter"in the urethra. If there was just "nick"in the bladder if is stitched, Foley catheter left in for 10days to be sure nick is healed. To be v.sure, cystogram can be done before removing the catheter. Leaving a ureteral stent is only done if there was injury to the ureter or the area called trigone very close to ureter (it is v.unusual to injure this area in hysterectomy) ...Read more

Why am I spot bleeding after having a partial, partial hysterectomy. I still have my ovaries and cervix. I had my surgery done 01/04/11?

Why am I spot bleeding after having a partial, partial hysterectomy. I still have my ovaries and cervix. I had my surgery done 01/04/11?

Residual tissue: With a partial hysterectomy, there can be some glands left behind in the cervix that still function like a uterus. These are responsive to hormones and can bleed. This could also be a sign of cervical dysplasia (abnormal cells) or infection. I recommend that you see a gynecologist soon to have this evaluated as it can be serious and it is treatable. ...Read more

May need to be seen: I assume your ovaries were not removed based on your age. It would help to know more about the reasons for the hysterectomy. The ovaries may be the source of the pain, such as a cyst, mass or normal ovulation. If you had endometriosis it can return. Scar tissue formation may lead to pain. It will likely be necessary for you to have an appointment with your provider to work thru the reasons. ...Read more
