Harm To Baby Ate Out Of Date Food
When baby needs solid food in what month? If the baby eat breastmilk and formula ?Please send me table of baby food
Not much: The reason for baby foods at that age is to introduce a new method, not overtake the value of breast milk or formula. A tablespoonful or two is fine for starters. If the kid seems to want more, that is one of the goals, but they should not drop their other intake below 16-20 oz. By 1 yr, they should have a balance between the two. ...Read more
How do I introduce baby to solid food without my fear of choking? I plan on all homemade food. Terrified of giving anything too chewy or hard. Advice?
Choking: You don't say how old baby is. But if he is ready, start wit soft food blended to smooth consitancy. Small spoonfuls. Have him sitting up straight in high chair and watch him closely as he swallows and spits out. Don't force him. Once you relax and he gets used to it, you can try thicker food...And so on. Good luck. ...Read more
Generally unnecessry: Food reactions in infants can vary from simple spitups to recurrent vomiting, loose stool to copious diarrhea, nasal congestion, hives etc. Simply delaying foods until the baby sits up can avoid the impact of a food reaction as a bigger baby can handle it. A calander of what u add/when & what events happen over several days is adequate to monitor rxns.Testing should be limited to confirming allergy. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
I'm12weeks pregnant can it harm baby to lift something that weighs 4 kilograms?I was in a market buying some products to eat.
Doubtful: I have have taken care of kids of jazercise instructors that continued to teach class up to the week of delivery & never had any issues.I wouldn't advise lifting a 20kg bag of whatever because it would be awkward & strain your system. However, 4kg is unlikely to be an issue. ...Read more

Mouth sores: Babies have no concept of needing to eat/drink to avoid problems. They do what feels okay.If swallowing hurts. they quit.I would look in her mouth, throat for sores, resdness. Most are safe: From the time when babies are sitting to when they walk is a marvelous opportunity to introduce many flavors of foods (www.Drgreene.Com/colorin). Kids with g6pd deficiency should avoid fava beans. Some kids - depending on their variant - should also avoid blueberries (& yogurts containing them), soy, other legumes, some chinese herbs, or tonic water (not great for babies anyway). I love g6pd.Org. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Why ever????: If you are interested in transitioning baby to solids, they should get the "tutoring" of using their mouth & tongue a different way. It should not be put in a bottle of breast milk. A paste or puree of the material should be offered off a spoon. If baby is not interested, there is no harm in waiting until s/he is. Six months is the time most have lost their tongue thrust & feed easily. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
