If a HIV man positive he transfer genital herpes to a negative women is that means she get HIV too even if they have safe sex?

No: Herpes & HIV are two different viral infections. Passing one does not mean you will pass the other. However, there is definitely a real possibility of passing both. To reduce the risk, the HIV + person should be on anti-retrovirals & protease inhibitors. The person should also always watch for herpes lesions & be on treatment if any occur. They should also practice safe sex esp with lesions. ...Read more

Can I get genital herpes from giving oral sex to a man? Could I have passed it on to my current partner who I have unprotected sex w and I got it?

Can I get genital herpes from giving oral sex to a man? Could I have passed it on to my current partner who I have unprotected sex w and I got it?

Yes: You could pick up HSV from giving oral sex to a man with an open lesion. The HSV would be on your lip so you would eventually get a fever blister. Then if you had an open lesion on your lip you could give it to your current partner. You also could transfer the virus from your hands that touched the man with active HSV to your own genitals - it takes open skin to open skin for transmission. ...Read more

On the lower leg I get this almost cut looking rash, doc said maybe herpes. 1. Does that man I have genital herpes too? 2. If it is herpes can I transfer it to my genitals by touch? 3. How I get it?

Herpes: I know another physician answered this, but I have a different response. Before any other action, you must get the herpes blood tests. All adults should know their herpes status. 90% of people with herpes do not have outbreaks. To culture your rash this late in the game would be unwise. A viral culture would be meaningless if done more than a day or two after the blisters show up. ...Read more

Could you get your genital herpes to other parts of the body?

Very unlikely: Transfer of an HSV infection from the area first involved to another area is called auto-inoculation.
